During a recent camping trip, the thing to do was head to the shoreline and watch the sunset. We didn't have many with color but in this case, I liked the way the sunlight came out from behind the clouds. The two guys in the foreground also had a photo lined up and were waiting for the perfect moment - the one on the far left with a DSLR and in the tank top on the right with a smartphone. The one on the right was running interference for the other - gently asking people that moved into the scene to back up a bit - and eventually giving up as people kept wandering in and out. I could sympathize with them as I've gone through the same myself - eventually embracing the presence of people to provide some perspective.
Early morning at Penarth Pier , Penarth , South Wales .
Light rays from the sky , lighting up the wet sands .
Sony DSC-RX100M2 compact camera,
Rays of light projected into the sky from the National Palace on the mountain of Montjuïc in Bacelona. Night photography taken at the viewpoint number 3 of Guinardó Park, just above the Hoop Child Viewpoint. In the background, we can see the National Palace of Montjuïc, from where rays of light are projected towards the sky. At the back, on the right, the Olympic Ring, and, highlighted by its height, the Montjuïc Communications Tower, also known as Calatrava Tower by the Valencian engineer Santiago Calatrava, who designed it for the Olympic Games of 1992. The National Palace, headquarters of MNAC (National Art Museum of Catalonia) is the work of Eugenio Cendoya and Enric Catà, under the supervision of Pere Domènech i Roura, son of the modernist architect Lluís Domènec i Montaner. It was built between 1926 and 1929 as the main venue for the 1929 Universal Exposition. In the Oval Room, King Alfonso XIII and Queen Victoria Eugenia presided over the inauguration ceremony.
The light after a stormy afternoon in mid-May was so beautiful that I stopped to take a few shots. We could use some rain right now: it's been terribly hot. Cooler weather is expected tonight. I will be offline until early next week. Have a great weekend!
Sometimes the rays of light are so far off, it's hard to see them.
Sometimes it just has to be enough to know that they are there.
Cornish, Maine.
Panorama view from Hessian Hill in Cornish this afternoon of some nice Crepuscular rays.
It was a partly cloudy day at the end of April, but towards the evening the sun came out again and conjured up magical light in the sky above the Swiss canton of Aargau.

Night shot of the light house "Lange Jaap" in Huisduinen - Den Helder the Netherlands. Managed to capture the rays of light you see while it spins around. Was tricky to get this shot, as at the time it was raining and had to point my lens upward a little bit to get the light house fully in frame. You can see the rain drops blurred in the rays of light.
This is an image taken in the Senja region, in the northern part of Norway. We drove up to Ersfjord to look at the mountains called "Dragons teeth rock" and then went further north up to Mefjordvaer. Here we found a mountain formation that looked like a woman laying down in the midday sun. It's interesting what you can see in nature.
This shot was taken with my Nikon D7200 and Sigma 24-105 f4 art lens. For more information about me and my photography please visit my website at www.andreaslarzon.com
