meh. I missed all the good stuff. still doesn't compare to the lightning I got in the shot below, even though the framing sucks and it was shot handheld.

Lightning McQueen did for a client's sons birthday. I used pearl mixed with red paint to give the car the sparkle look the character got in radiator springs.

The Lightning Preservation Group put on a great night shoot. My first trip to Bruntingthorpe and it looked brilliant, even in the dark.
This was taken during the most active thunderstorm I've ever seen. It was all cloud to cloud and caused a constant rumbling with flashes every 1-2 seconds and the occasional bolt visible.

Lightning struck the very top of this tree sending the charge down its limb and the side of its trunk to the ground and peeled the bark off in its path as cleanly as a sharp sawblade. Shards can be seen hanging from its center.
