This is pretty much the last good shot I got from the storms on the night of the 10th. This image shows the separation of little but powerful storm cells that were popping up everywhere that night. I took this in the back lot of the Walt's Supermarket store in my village.
Light on the bottom left is sunset light that randomly shone through the systems.

A couple of photos blended together of some of the forked lightning seen during last nights storm. Out of over 300 shots taken, only these 2 were worth keeping.

During a good storm, I'd set up the tripod, set the camera for a 10 second exposure time and keep clicking. The 'spray and pray' technique combined with a good storm would often result in a few good shots.
Here, the shot was desaturated, and then a black to white gradient map used, with a purple color stop. Not the typical monochrome color of sepia or cyan, but...

Took this capture from the deck where I was out of the rain under a canopy. The light in the yard was from lightning that was in the sky overhead out of the frame, but happened during the 30 seconds of exposure and provided the nice foreground lighting. After chasing a supercell storm over the southern and central Hungarian plains, we returned into the direction of our base.
However, new storms formed near the Hungarian-Serbian border and followed almost the same track (slightly more east, probably on an outflow boundary) as the first big storm.
Here is a photograph of the second storm with some nice lightning bolts in the evening light.....
Developing high based storms over Belgium moved north towards The Netherlands.
These were fast moving storms so I had to act quickly to intercept them. I was just in time close to the historic town of Zaltbommel near the river Waal to capture these bolts.
