A blurred image due to very strong winds with bolts of lightning in the distance.
Thank you very much for your visit and comments my friends..cheers

During a good storm, I'd set up the tripod, set the camera for a 10 second exposure time and keep clicking. The 'spray and pray' technique combined with a good storm would often result in a few good shots.
Here, the shot was desaturated, and then a black to white gradient map used, with a purple color stop. Not the typical monochrome color of sepia or cyan, but...
For Donnerstagsmonochrom.
A couple of photos blended together of some of the forked lightning seen during last nights storm. Out of over 300 shots taken, only these 2 were worth keeping.

With a relatively calm Atlantic Ocean on this evening at Peggy's Cove, the Milky Way and Mars shine on water surface was amazing to see.

Taken at the Dayton Rodeo in Iowa.
They set off fireworks at the end of the show. In one are of the pen the horses freaked with the explosion sounds, they were back lit extremely well but I added a Topaz Glow filter to intensify the lighting and movement.
Happy Fence Friday!
So pleased I made the effort to go out & chase the storm because this image made my night. The most spectacular fork lightning I've ever seen in my life, and it was right behind the famous Blackpool Tower
lightning storms rolling over port phillip bay. taken from Seaford pier. Finally had a good lightshow. I have been waiting for this for a few months now. :)

Took this capture from the deck where I was out of the rain under a canopy. The light in the yard was from lightning that was in the sky overhead out of the frame, but happened during the 30 seconds of exposure and provided the nice foreground lighting. I guess that could be called Lightning Lighting :)
