Ring light not completely finished yet, still need to add more bulbs to it, but this is it with only 4 light bulbs and my dog (her name is princess, but we call her poochie) is always my model whenever I get or make something new for my camera.
A wicked cool simi-accident. went out for a smoke and brought my coffee "special" drink. thought the pack of cigaretts and coffee looked cool but there was no light for me to take the pic.
i tried with the flash and it looked BAD. so i lit up a tiki torch and there ya go.
Chris thought of holding the flame behind the coffee. ( my b/f)
A very hazy sun which soon rose into cloud, sadly. Gorgeous warm light and reflections for a while, though I went hoping for some of the mist which I'd left behind at Keswick!.

Today's invention: Cherry Pickers
An elevated work platform (also known as a cherry picker, boom lift, man lift, basket crane or hydraladder) is a type of aerial work platform that consists of a platform or bucket at the end of a hydraulic lifting system.
It is particularly useful for facilitating the changing of lightbulbs atop commercial light standards.

This window light portrait was taken for one of my College projects. My aim for this portrait was to have strong shadows from the window blinds across the models face and throughout the photograph and i feel that this was achieved successfully. Please comment and tell me what you think. Thanks.

From Wikipedia ~ The Point Judith Light is located on the west side of the entrance to Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island as well as the north side of the eastern entrance to Block Island Sound. The confluence of two waterways make this area busy with water traffic and the waters around Point Judith are very cold and dangerous. Historically, even with active lighthouses, there have been many shipwrecks off these coasts.
Three light structures have been built on this site. The original 35-foot (11 m) tower, built in 1810, was destroyed by a hurricane in 1815. It was replaced in 1816, by another 35-foot stone tower with a revolving light and ten lamps. The present octagonal granite tower was built in 1856. The upper half of the tower is painted brown and the lower half white to make the light structure a more effective daymark for maritime traffic. In 1871, ship captains asked that Point Judith's fog signal be changed from a horn to whistle. This change distinguished the Point Judith light from the Beavertail Lighthouse, which used a siren to announce fog. A whistle could also be heard more distinctly over the sounds of the surf in the area. Point Judith Light was automated in 1954.
