I have captured 3 bridges. The furthest away is the white arch of the Walterdale Bridge.
The bridge in the center is the High Level Bridge which was completed in 1913 which makes it over 100 years old.
The blue one in the foreground is the Dudley B. Menzies Bridge used by the Light Rail Train completed in 1989.
Look at those fall colors in the river valley!
Sarà il caldo di questi giorni che mi fa vedere anche cose che non esistono;-)!!!
Searching for a destiny that's mine
There's another place, another time
Touching many hearts along the way,
Hoping that I'll never have to say
It's just an illusion
Illusion....

A Queens-bound train arrives at the upper level of Queensboro Plaza. Due to a weekend GO, Queens-bound trains were running express from Queensboro Plaza to Mets-Willets Point, so the diamond bullet came out on the weekend.

Special:
- Chevrolet was co-founded by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant. Louis Chevrolet was a race-car driver, born on December 25, 1878, in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland. William Durant, founder of General Motors, had been forced out of GM in 1910 and wanted to use Louis Chevrolet's designs to rebuild his own reputation as a force in the automobile industry. As head of Buick Motor Company, prior to founding GM, Durant had hired Chevrolet to drive Buicks in promotional races.
- By 1916 Chevrolet was profitable enough to allow Durant to buy a majority of shares in GM. After the deal was completed in 1917, Durant was president of General Motors and Chevrolet was merged into GM, becoming a separate division.
- The Yeoman, designed by Clare MacKichan's Design Team was based on the Delray passenger car Series with the quad headlights that helped simulate a “Baby Cadillac” and built for model year 1958 only.
- This Yeoman represented the entry-level selections in the 1958 Chevrolet Station Wagon lineup (featured minimal interior and exterior trim and limited options), not counting the Delray Sedan Delivery.
- For 1959, Chevrolet's Brookwood would now offer a 2-door Wagon and become the lowest priced Station Wagon.
- Beside this 4-door Station Wagon, it was available as 2-door Model 1291 Station Wagon, both with six-passenger seating capacity.
- They were assembled in Oakland (California), Tarrytown (New York), Flint (Michigan), Norwood (Ohio), St. Louis (Missouri), Arlington (Texas) and in Oshawa (Ontario - Canada).

After 44 years as the home of the New York Mets, Shea Stadium hosted its final game on September 28, 2008. The Mets lost to the Marlins by the score of 4-2 in front of a sellout crowd, thus eliminating them from playoff contention on the last day of the season for the second year in a row.
My original seats for the game were way up in the Right Field loge, but thanks to a pregame beer with a friend who had Field Level seats, my friend Steve and I just stayed downstairs and enjoyed the game and the post-game ceremonies from 13 rows behind 1st base.
The postgame ceremony featured dozens of the team's most popular players, as well as a little fireworks display, as captured in this image.
Check out more of my fine art photography of Shea Stadium.

Ancient Termessos is one of the most interesting ancient sites in Antalya. It's located inside the National Park to the north-west of the province, approximately 34 km (21 miles) from the city center. It's a spectacular Psidian city built on the Taurus Mountains at approximately 1050 meters (3445 feet) above the sea level. Today, the site is mentioned in Unesco's Tentative List for World Heritage. The ancient city of Termessos was found by the Solyms who lived in the Psidia region, who have been cited in the Iliad by Homer in connection with the legend of Bellerophon. We don't know much about the Solyms but probabily they were of Anatolian origin, unlike other settlers in the region who usually came from the sea. The city is one of the few places which Alexander the Great couldn't capture it despite his siege in 333 B.C. because it was an eagle's nest built in a valley hidden between the mountains. Even today, in order to visit the city you should have a good physical condition to walk uphill, but when you reach the site the views are breathtaking. During the 2nd century B.C. the Termessians fought against neighbouring Lycian cities and then against Isinda who were their other neighbour in Psidia region. They also fought against Serge, another ancient city near Attaleia (modern day Antalya). Termessos had good relations with Attalos II, king of Pergamon. During the Roman empire, Termessos became a Roman ally so they received their independent status from the Senate in 71 B.C. The inhabitants abandoned the city in the 5th century A.D. after a gradual decline and earthquakes which destroyed its aqueduct and thus their water supply. Termessos is one of the best preserved ancient cities of Turkey. The most significant remains of the site are the fortified city walls, towers, king's road, Hadrian's gate, agora, stoas, gymnasium, heroon, odeon, theatre, tombs, temples, houses, shops, cisterns and drainage system. All of this is located in a dense vegetation, surrounded by typical Mediterranean flora. Amongst the sarcophagi, there are the ones of Alcates, the rival of Antigonos who was one of Alexander's generals, and of Agatemeros. The views from the theater are magnificent, which had a capacity of five thousand spectators. So far, there isn't any scientific excavations held in the city.
Bac Ha is the hill tribe markets. Every Sunday, people of Hmong, Red Dzao, Zay travel tens of km over the mountain to reach the market, the market is considered as a social activity for mountainous people.
Took some time today to expand on my challenge of photographing smoke. I ended up with 11 interesting photo's that show how amazing a single trail of smoke can appear when captured in a photograph and "colorized" to enhance some of the details. Like flames in a fire or clouds in the sky, these smoke trails can - with a little imagination - become nearly anything!
The gathering of the smoke at the end of "stalk" seemed similar to how a flower forms in nature; so I added color to demonstrate the similarity I saw. Do you see something different?
Photographs were taken of smoke rising from a single incense stick, using two (2) off camera strobes set at varying power levels ranging from 1/2 power to 1/8 power. One flash was set at just over 90 degrees to the camera (to reduce lens glare). The second strobe was set in front of the smoke and below the incense stick facing upwards.

The former Great Western station in Wolverhampton was overshadowed when they invested in electrifying the LMS line to High Level station alongside. The last passenger train departed in 1972 - however the station lingered long after that. As you can see, in April 1991 it was pretty much complete.
Tracks have been cleared today, but the main building survives in alternative use.
