my dog Jazmine LOVES the water and found a small lake formed by the recent rains at a local dog park. She found another dog there who she immediately launched into a play date with. Note the "Tail Up" position with water spraying from the top ... can't get any happier than that!

Nach einer sehr steilen und schweißtreibenden Wanderung von Wasserauen (868 m ü. M.) aus, gelangten wir zu dem klaren Seealpsee (1131 m ü. M.). Die Mühe hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Auch wenn Wolken den Himmel trübten und die Berge, die dem Säntis vorgelagert sind, verschleierten, empfing uns der See mit diesen herrlichen Anblick.

Well nearly anyway. Roxy is very good at sitting still, but this was a challenge. The mini-level is just a round barrel so any movement would cause it to roll off. This is as good as I could get as she was tiring of my instructions. Bless.

Shell Oil protest on St Johns Bridge

For those out of the Portland area, Greenpeace protesters suspended themselves from the bridge at a level to keep a Shell Oil ice breaker from being able to live the port en route to the Arctic. Kayakers also gathered on the river to impede the progress. Eventually the ship left, but since then Shell did call off its current plans to drill due to the cost and not being a worthwhile amount of oil.
