Still hunting for a decent minimal seascape and took a visit further along Pett Level in hunt for that shot.
Built in 1847, The Man Mo Temple is a picturesque tribute to the God of Literature (Man) and the God of War (Mo), both of whom were worshipped by ambitious students looking to succeed in the civil examinations of Imperial China. These involved rigorous systems aimed at finding the best administrative officials for the state.
These coil incense were "lighted" by worshipers whose names were written on a red tag hanging from the incense. It is believed lighting these incense will make one's wishes come true.

This is a late-day view of the Somerset Levels looking west from the slopes of Aller Hill. At night, the lights of Taunton illuminate the western horizon, although the town is not visible in this shot. The solitary hill in the mid-distance on the right is Burrow Mump with the ruins of St. Michael's Church. The hills in the distance are exaggerated by the long lens used for this shot.
This panorama view is cropped down from a single image. I have cloned out a few power line and/or communications cables for aesthetics.

I like how this shows how uneven the tracks really are from this angle. We don't have railroad tracks around us so when I saw these outside the window of the Dr office I knew where my next stop was going to be.
View from the level 33 bar. Here I had the most expensive beer of my life. But the view is worth the price of the beer. And at more than 30 degrees outside a cold beer tastes really good!
This place also made it onto my no-tripods-allowed list of buildings. Luckily, I had also my little gorillapod with me.
Taken at Ham Wall Nature Reserve on the Somerset Levels - such a friendly bird, it was only 8-10 inches away - it seemed to know that I'd give it some food - hard to resist taking a pic. (SOOC not cropped or adjusted/sharpened in any way - except changing a Raw file into a jpg)

The Romanesque Evangelical Church of Hosman was built around 1270 with three naves, an apse for the altar, and a five-level bell tower. Two centuries later the church was fortified with two rows of defensive walls, towers and bastions. The entrance gate tower is raised on three levels and provided with a defensive harrow in the confluence area of the two enclosures. In the inner defensive enclosure are other defensive constructions such as two raised squares on three levels as well as a strong house. The walls of the enclosure are 7 to 8 meters high, including 3 meters of stone, the rest being renovated with brick and stone.
The second enclosure has two towers. The one in the south-west is pentagonal, now serving as the pavilion of the parish house. The one in the southeast is damaged, only the lower levels of which are preserved today.
In spite of everything, the locality was the prey of the army of Vlad Ţepeş, that, in 1456, set fire to Hosman.
