2 minute exposure with DIY 10-stop!

With the top layer of lobster stuff removed, you can see the light green liver (tomalley). If this were a female, you'd also see some dark green roe. Unfortunately, this time I didn't have any females on hand...so that's all there is to it.

You can save both the tomalley and roe, as it's some of the tastiest stuff in a lobster but clean out the rest of the stomach and guts.

During warm weather months, there's often a warning of red tide...and while the red tide toxins are stored in the tomalley, I've been told by my lobster monger that you'd have to eat a lot of it to get sick. That being said, if you're scurred...then just toss the stuff.

St John the Baptist, Layer de la Haye, Essex

The largest of the Layers, and usually referred to as simply Layer. Open. A small, pretty little church beside Abberton reservoir. Inside is homely and warm, late Victorian. Very cosy. There is an Easter Sepulchre tomb from the 1540s, exceptionally late and the liturgy it would have served can only have had months to run when it was installed.

Very friendly churchwardens inside doing the books and playing the organ, although they assured me that the church is always open every day. Unfortunately, I was so busy talking that I left my Essex Pevsner beside the visitors book, and had to go back for it the following week.

Make the cake batter according to the box instructions, mixing until smooth. You can mix the batter with a hand-held mixer, a whisk, or even a fork. Just make sure to get rid of all the lumps.

Once the batter is smooth, slowly pour it into the non-stick cake pan. You'll only use a little of the batter in this step, the rest will cover the pie.

Spread the batter evenly across the bottom of the cake pan. It should completely cover the bottom of the pan and be about a half inch thick.

Layered Raspberry Mousse

Served 4

1 Syn on Extra Easy

2 sachets of raspberry sugar free jelly crystals

2 tsp powdered gelatine

400g fresh raspberries

225g fat free natural fromage frais

1 tsp vanilla essence

4 tbsp sweetener

Place four wine glasses in the freezer to chill. Dissolve the jelly crystals in 150ml of boiling water according to the packet instructions, then top up with 400ml cold water.

Bring the glasses back out from the freezer, and place about 1/3 of the raspberries in the bottom of each glass. Pour in 1/3 of the jelly and put back in the freezer for 10 minutes to set.

Combine the fromage frais, vanilla essence, half the remaining raspberries, half the remaining jelly and the sweetener in a bowl and add this in a new layer to the glasses. Return to the freezer for 30 minutes to set.

Arrange the rest of the raspberries on top and pour in the last of the jelly. Leave in the fridge for at least two hours to set.

Different layers build a personality. Sometimes a shiny gold inside is covered by layers of cold steel.

This rings can be used with two or more layers. It looks great when mixed with other materials like gold.

I read a suggestion somewhere to take several photos of the same scene at different times of the day. This is a start as I only have two layers here.

can you tell I like to wear layers? it is getting pretty chilly here, so I am happy to break out the sweaters and long sleeves!

Sunset time, sky becomes dimmer, mountain becomes darker. But the layers of mountain are still visible.

Colorful layers from long ago.

The clouds were sorted in one yellow and a white layer -- sooo magic.

I like the chaotic outline of the buildings and machines against the smooth natural layers.

Layer on layer of architectural styles and textures.
