Hraunfossar (Borgarfjörður,
western Iceland) is a series of waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming over a distance of about 900 metres out of the Hallmundarhraun, a lava field which flowed from an eruption of one of the volcanoes lying under the glacier Langjökull.
The waterfalls pour into the Hvítá river from ledges of less porous rock in the lava. The name hraun comes from the Icelandic word for lava. The Hraunfossar are situated near Húsafell and Reykholt and lava-tube cave Víðgelmir is close by.

Even the sentiment is layered: silver embossing covered by sparkle embossing. I wasn't dead-on with my re-stamping, so it's got a sort of shadow effect, which I really like!
Block 7 of the Layer Cake quilt along is a keeper for sure. Really happy with my fabric choices for this block.

First I applied Kim's recipe to the image she provided. Then I applied to this poppy photo I took in San Francisco.

I love the way the clouds build and disappear in the same place throughout the sequence, like there's a cold clump of air just hanging in place, condensing all the vapours. Why doesn't it get blown along?
We were at the Leicester Square tube station changing from a Picadilly to a Northern Line train when I spotted this vintage ad space. It looked like someone ripped off the ugly new ads and discovered the treasure underneath. You can even see where the Underground Roundel was painted over/under it!

I have always liked color, and it seems to still be that way......I also like the layers from front to back ground.
The theme this week was to keep the image simple and use kk_awake as the texture. This is a glass frog I only used a gradient layer mask and some cleaning up with black/white brush in the mask, then a touch Topaz Lab Adjust 5 filter.
