We were there as the snow was leaving, but before the wildflowers had arrived. The geological layers and tonal variety was still very impressive and beautiful. Logan Pass is truly an inspirational place for nature lovers. Sure were plenty of them there....
Mt. Reynolds is in the background.

Have a marvelous Monday!
Iceland called me back last summer, much earlier then expected. This is a view from Dyrhólaey as the midnightsun transformed the fog covered landscape into a sea of layers in yellow-orange tones - unforgettably beautiful.

While I must have planted well over 20 of these wonderful Tecolote Ranunculus bulbs/tubers, it seems I can only find about 3 or so plants that have actually surfaced. That is so disappointing as they are such a delightful addition to the flower garden. Layer upon layer of crepe paper petals unfurl into such vibrant shades of color. This is my first to bloom this season....Orange Tecolote Ranunculus.
Happy Sunshine Sunday.....!
Decided to convert this one to black and white to show the contrast between the different layers you can often see during a summer sunset here in the Bay Area. Taken at the Stanford Dish Trail.

Hiking around the Maligne Canyon and Maligne River we took a wrong turn and ended up passing where we parked by a couple miles. So we wondered around exploring while trying to find our way back. We passed this view with the layers of Jasper NP unfolding in front of us. The brush on the banks of the river began to turn the golden colors of Fall with the glacier waters of the river in the middle and the snow capped mountains in the background. After seeing this I was glad we took a wrong turn.
An intriguing sculpture holds no fascination for a passing family in the top of the Queen Street Mall in Brisbane. The old Bank of New South Wales in rear, they just don't make them like they used to.
This area was one of the most unique Ive ever seen. I plan on going back in the future and capturing this shot the way it was meant to be captured, with an amazing sky full of clouds and high tides. I figured i might as well upload a preview of what that shot is going to look like. Sometimes you just have to deal with the cards you are given that day.

This flower has three layers to it. It has the colors of fall on it.

The tide was very calm on this stoney shore and am glad to say this is how I imagined the shot would look like, well near enough.
