On day 3 of my 2016 fall color trip to Zion, I awoke to overcast skies and strong winds. I decided to spend the day exploring various washes and canyons to see if I could find anything to photograph. In the afternoon, I came across this unnamed slot canyon, and as the light was flat but the textures were beautiful and the stone was not affected by the wind, I decided to capture the scene on black and white film. After walking through this canyon back and forth slowly several times, gazing at the walls and soaking in the textures, lines, light, and shadows, I finally settled on this scene with a large rift in the stone wall of the canyon on the right forming a nice leading line, along with the wash itself meandering up the canyon and disappearing behind a tight bend in the slot.

Homemade camera (Blackeye Mk2), 210mm. The 4*5 negative is "scanned" with my digital camera.
Having neglected to bring the dark bag I thought I'd have a go at loading sheets in the cellar. A partial success.
We're Here, scarred negatives and all.
Hand-held wobble focused macro (Dah!) of a 4x5 negative laid on an LED lightbox dingus that I acquired for the purpose of digitising negatives with a DSLR. I haven't used this process for ages, so Thanks WAH!

Still catching up on previous scans done. Was out in the grey day with the Horseman Woodman 45 and expired HP5 and rodinal semistand. It probably wasn't the best combination for an expired film, but the lighting conditions were subpar as well. But even though the equipment and I got rained on, it was still great to get out there, slow down, spot meter, and still try to capture images for the detail that large format so wonderfully does. Thanks for the inspiration from my flickeranian colleagues.

I recently visited Stockport, Ohio, with my 1921 Cirkut No. 10 to capture a panorama of the historic Stockport Mill and Muskingum River Lock and Dam #6.
I made a few passes, but this infrared exposure is my favorite.
