My stepdad fixed up this old lamp when I lived at home. My room was red and black so he painted it to match. The pull cord has a tiny pair of handcuffs on it. I ripped off the ugly stained fabric on the shade and liked it naked, so I left it.

We braved IKEA today, to get some stuff for the boychild's nursey. My husband thinks this lamp is a bit girly, but I don't care, I like it.

Danish Design Lamp - A quick shot of a lamp haning on the ceiling in my hotel room in Charlottenlund (near Copenhagen) in Denmark. Just like yesterday I had to look around a little bit to find something worth taking a picture of. I can't wait to go home on Friday to be able to take some more intresting shots!

Noticed the sun illuminating this lamp while walking the dog this morning. Odd isn't it, how we walk right past so many opportunities to make images.

lamp of despair. 34"H lamp, 14" base, heavy plaster; figure of woman seeming to be despairing on the moorland or something. Ma gave this to me years ago but it is disturbing and I want to sell or donate it.

The lamp is lit with an "Edison" bulb, a clear glass bulb with a special shape, in which the individual filaments are visible. We have more bulbs as well, in varying shapes.
