I made this lamp when Geena was approx. 6 years old, she is now 22. I still have tons of cups and saucers with holes drilled. Currently I am using the saucers as edging for my raised planting beds.
I was originally inspired when I found out there was a drill bit especially made for ceramics and glass.
This lamp is made from a water-cooled dual processor from an Apple G5 desktop computer. Other elements include an hour meter, aircraft compass and 40W LED bulbs.

These lamps are genuine industrial salvage (as with the fan blades from a big engine, front) that we have re-purposed into cool light fixtures.
Above lamp is a combination of recycled wooden window brackets with reclaimed Bruce wood flooring for the inserts. I call it the "Jenga-like" lamp because when I first was trying to figure out how to make the lamp, I saw the Jenga game in our closet. Once I saw this, the Jenga lamp was born!
