Just a ceiling lamp from Diego's house. It has a nice vignetting effect.
Sólo una lámpara del techo de la casa de Diego. Tiene un bonito efecto de vignetting (creo q la traducción sería "viñeta" o "encuadre").
Traditional Tuesday!
I continue my theme with lamps. Not the best pic I have taken, but what the heck. =)
Purchased at Marshalls. Priced at $29 each and paid $45 total for 2 after using a merchandise credit I already had.

I could be persuaded to flip this image horizontally so that the American Flag is in its normal orientation. But this is the way it was that day.

It is dedicated to Mandy Rayner the first woman police constable to be killed on duty in Hertfordshire and to this day the youngest in the United Kingdom. She died on 13th October 1982 aged 18 years old.
Killed when the police patrol car, in which she was the observer and which was stationary waiting to assist colleagues, was deliberately rammed by the driver of a vehicle being pursued by police at Royston late at night.
One of Adam's Christmas gifts this year was a little wooden crate that resembled the crate from the movie A Christmas Story, which contained the infamous leg lamp. This mini-crate contained a 500-piece puzzle of that lamp. We had a lot of fun putting this together yesterday. :-)
So far, the 2014 weather looks suspiciously like the end of 2013 version. One of those days where it didn't really get light, so the indoor lamps were on all day. PS I did go outside briefly too
Revisiting a theme from a few winters ago, this handsome rustic table lamp resurrects memories of a winter's tramp in the northwoods. A few collected mementos of fallen autumn leaves and pine cones are tucked in a pack basket along with a nostalgic Hudson's Bay blanket. Novelty snowshoes handcrafted in Maine and a parchment shade adorned with pine trees complete the scene.

I took this photograph across the room, I noticed the light from the lamp, lampshade, the book and other items on the end table.
The different color Christmas bulbs added some very pretty colors, especially with the light of the lamp shinning on them.
It was our family Christmas get together to celebrate Jesus Christs birthday, and to have a wonderful time of fellowship and dinner.
I really like the lampshade.

I took this and then noticed that some stupid statue got in the way in the background and I couldn't photoshop it out...

I'll have to work on a better photo of this one, but the story is good. I found this lamp when my partner and I went to San Francisco for a weekend. He continued on to a longer vacation from there but I had to go back to LA and work. I so wanted this lamp — it was perfect for my living room and completely fit my style. Sadly, it's all one piece and cannot come apart for shipping. I even tried calling on favors from a few of my San Francisco friends, but none could help me get the lamp and make my flight... So I left the lamp behind and went home.
You think that would be the end of it, but I really wanted that lamp. I worked all week trying to figure how I could get my hands on it and on Fri night, after working a full week, a friend asked what I was going to do over the weekend. I replied, "Driving to San Francisco to buy a lamp." She said she'd join me so we left early on Saturday.
Now mind you, I had no idea if the lamp was even still there. The store could have sold it by then and I'd have been out of luck, but I hit the road anyway and we made it to SF by lunchtime. Not only was the lamp still there, but the store's staff remembered me from the week before. I told them my tale of driving to San Francisco and back in one day and they were shocked—so shocked, that they gave me a discount on the purchase!
My friend and I celebrated by having lunch with the lamp at a local restaurant and then drove it up to Coit Tower for a few more photo opportunities. With the sun setting over the city, we got in the car and drove back to LA. We were only in San Francisco for a few hours, but the lamp is now mine forever and ever! By the way, that friend and I still celebrate the trip as that date is now formally recognized as Lamp Day.
Happy Lamp Day!
