Week 42 is about (Life, the Universe,) Everything. It is about everything that captures me, however it happens. It is a bit of a freeform week, therefore, which fits with the upcoming week’s planned activities. These light bulbs inspired me for this theme, in a way. Not so much the “I have an idea!” way, but in the “it all started with a bunch of light and energy” way.
There were fabulously cloudless skies for most of the day today, so I went for a "pre-christmas shopping" walk on the Pier at Worthing..
I managed to hide the sun and a stray lamp post behind the lamp in the foreground.
I started a set of lampshades 9 or 10 years ago. I sold quite a few before moving on to other things. I still have quite a bit left. I've been slowly finishing them and giving them to charities.
I've learned quite a bit since I first designed the lamps.

This is the standard kerosene lamp in every Kenyan household. It helps both those who do not have electricity, and those suffering from a temporary power cut. A wonderful invention!
