FINALLY found shades for my lovely vintage hairpin-leg lamps! I bought these lamps for $10 each a few years back, but have struggled to find shades that work. I was almost resigned to having custom fiberglass ones made from Moon Shine when I found these for $12 at Target. :)

From a wonderful store giving Joy throughout the Land in Topeka - a Coleman CQ Lamp. Estimated date is 1919. As noted by me elsewhere - these are solid, simple and extraordinarily effective lamps - a testament to the vision of William Coleman and the American Crafrsmen (and women) that made them. Works as new after simple cleaning and a new generator (R55)

And for the detail junkies - Fount is good - dry as a desert with only very fine rust dust! Handle is the tall one (4.25") and is faintly marked with language along the lines of "Coleman Quick Lite, CQ, Coleman Lamp Company , Wichita Kansas". As it has the single patent date of May 13, 1919 on the tube, tall handle, and no markings on the fount - best estimate based on "The Book" is 1917-1919, and being most likely 1919 unless it has been messed with and has replaced parts. This will be a good comparison with my later lamp with short handle (1919-1924) when done!
