Join me and crowd of Sydneysiders as we walk about between Margaret and Bathurst Street, experiencing the totality of Sydney's new 'boulevarde'. No doubt Christmas shopping boosted the crowds along with the decorations and the festive spirit, but there's no doubt though that the street's a real hit.
Two new Code 3 repaints join the (already healthy) numbers at Prior Road, Forfar.
I have wanted to add a Leyland National to the Strathtay fleet, as a nod to WBW 735X, which is preserved in Strathtay Scottish livery. As per the real bus, this 1:76 scale representation is podless (without the rear roof pod).
Yet another Leyland Leopard, Alexander Y Type also joins the fleet. A long window, coach seated example.
Both models, originally by Exclusive First Editions (EFE), were fully dismantled, stripped to bare metal, primed and repainted and finished with transfer sets from Sunrise Models & Transfers. Thus they are “Code 3”. They are 1/76 scale, or OO Gauge, diecast model buses and are my own work.
Strathtay Scottish was launched on Monday 17th of June 1985. Starting with 63 buses from Northern & 63 from Midland. Yorkshire Traction bought Strathtay in June 1991, for £1.11 million, allegedly narrowly defeating an offer made by employees and management.

Combine the shallow-depth-of-field with Sony NEX-6's latest face-tracking auto focus, and you can see how the moving video keeps the model's pretty blue eyes in focus, while blurring the background! The Sony Alpha NEX 6 has much better bokeh than the cameras I have been using! :)
She was tall, thin, fit, toned, defined, and beautiful!

Every January, volunteers and community partners gather to conduct a snapshot of people who are experiencing homelessness. The PIT Count is an important opportunity for communities to better understand and address homelessness. The Governor and three of his Cabinet Secretaries met at the Wilmington launch site as teams, organized by Housing Alliance Delaware, conducted counts statewide.

Many joined us for the Pontifical High Mass on the feast of Candlemas on Sunday, February 2nd.
Candlemas commemorates the purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary and is also known as "The Presentation of Our Lord." This feast traditionally closes the Christmas season. The Holy Mass was celebrated by Bishop Joseph N. Perry.
The name Candlemas comes from the activities associated with the feast. It came to be known as the Candle Mass. A procession with lighted candles is the distinctive rite. This procession into the church for Mass commemorates Christ’s entrance into the temple.
Simeon, upon seeing the Messiah, gave thanks to the Lord, singing a hymn now called the Nunc Dimittis which is chanted at this particular Mass:
Lord, now you let your servant go in peace, your word has been fulfilled: My own eyes have seen the salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of every people: a Light to reveal you to the nations and the Glory of your people Israel.

Sopranos alumna Drea de Matteo is joining Desperate Housewives this season, and she's bringing a small mob of her own with her — in the form of a husband and a son.
De Matteo has been cast in a series regular role, an ABC rep confirms, ostensibly offsetting the loss of Nicollette Sheridan's Edie, who perished toward the end of Season 5. De Matteo's Bronx-bred Wisteria Lane newcomer arrives in town with a husband and 19-year-old son in tow.
Based on the arrival script for de Matteo's character, she's for certain a fish out of water, having traded the noise and grime of New York City for a serene (ha, little does she know) picket-fenced life on Wisteria Lane.
De Matteo's on-screen family has yet to be cast, but it appears that the son will attempt to strike a spark with one of the neighborhood girls. (Perhaps Gaby's freshly introduced bad-girl niece?) The husband, meanwhile, seems likeable enough — if a bit, um, flirty.
De Matteo's casting was first reported by EW.com's Ausiello.
Desperate Housewives ' Season 6 premieres Sept. 24.
Ousmane Sembene, either 84 or 86, has joined the ancestors. He transition was reported on June 10, 2007. Sembene's films such as Black Girl (1965), Ematai (1972) and Xala (1974) were considered controversial and groundbreaking in African cinema.
