These measurements are based on measuring a similar garment out flat on a table and measuring across the 5 points shown in the picture ONLY. Do not measure around a physical body. Before making an order please see the varsity jacket size chart select your size from our Size Chart to make an order.
Jackets of the Renaissance and earlier did not have sleeves that were completely enclosed. This turns out to be good ventilation and saved me trying to make it so with the pattern I was using which was for a Renaissance doublet with tie-on sleeves. I also liked the idea of having the inside of my elbows ventilated so I added a flap closed vent that could be buttoned opened.
