It's sunflower season in @sqcountry, and we couldn't resist sharing another photo of these stunning fields of gold 🌻 @swaller4 recently took a trip out to Nobby, which is a historic little nook around two hours' drive from @queensland's capital, @visitbrisbane. Nobby is not only worth a visit for its spectacular seasonal sunflower displays, but also for its local pub where apparently the steaks are as big as the plates they're served on. I have also walked up this hill, and its a killer, it goes on and on up and up, it needs a cafe at the top.
It wasn't really midnight but isn't it great to be able to create a story out of a simple photo. I think it's called imagination ;)
The sun fell fast as we watched the waves crash against the lighthouse in the distance. The sea lions barked at the bottom of the cliff below. Seagulls danced in the sky as if they also appreciated the beauty and color of the sunset. I took this photo, then kissed her lips. It was breath taking...
... the Allen Lambert Galleria at Brookfield Place, Toronto. This "crystal cathedral of commerce" as some call it, a six storey atrium the length of a city block, was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.

The Uvdal stave churches is a church built shortly after 1168. The church was then expanded over the centuries.

More rain today :( UGH I need a nice weekend so badly and Here we are Rain Rain Rain... well it did give me time to finish all my Christmas cards and wrap some presents super prematurely so that was nice lol.
While I am a fan of EMD especially in the mountains when the SP received this AC4400Ws I really liked they way they looked and it was nice to see new power on the SP. It seemed you could find them every where along the Rio Grande. Seen here at Belden climbing famed Tennessee Pass with coal for the Midwest. June 1995

Trying to keep it simple this week - quick doodle in pencil, scan and a little dab of photoshop for good measure. I'm quite liking 'em.
Being your own boss and company owner has its perks...you can stop and set up a camera and a tripod when a fabulous storm settles right on top of your location. I set up my tripod and started setting the exposure. This photo is a bit soft, not because I moved the tripod, but this bolt of lightning was so close that when it hit it actually shook the ground just enough to bump the tripod!!
Now that's electrifying!
I'm not completely dead. Pasta (and her human) were the only ones that noticed I had dropped out for a couple of days.
Anywho (BenKitty hates when I say "anywho", so that's why I say it) - feeling better today. I'll wander by your streams tonight.

Thank you everyone...i am always so thrilled that when a picture that i take specifically for The World Through My Eyes group Scavenger Hunt is so well recieved, because i would never have taken it otherwise!!!
It appears that the large boulders in Ferguson Canyon tend to hold back all the most brilliant-colored sediment deposits whenever there is high water. The water there almost looks golden.
A close friend of mine bought this lovely bracelet as a gift for me in Israel . She brought another similar one for my daughter.

It’s been a while since I've uploaded to Flickr, but with the FlickrFriday Bokeh theme this week, it’s was too tempting not to quickly grab something.
It's always a treat to get close to shorebirds, and I was thrilled when this one gave a perfect head turn and called right in front of me. D500 300 PF 1/2000 f/4 ISO 2000.

A Loram grinder works east through Hamler shortly after starting their work day. Over the next couple weeks, this grinder will work east to Greenwich, then west on the Indy Line before returning.

It was the second day of Eid Ul Fitr yeterday . Woke up at 4:30 Am in the morning and rushed to my rooftop as I saw this beautiful sky outside my window . The sky looked simply amazing ! My day went great How was yours ?

It's 2.5 km from the car park to the entrance of Mont Saint Michel, but it feels like you are on some sort of an epic journey as you walk toward this unique historic site. Seeing this beautiful island perched on vast sandbanks is an unforgettable experience and it's amazing to think it will be completely cut off from the mainland during high tide.
