Konica hexanon ar 50mm f1.7 The lens produces cool tones, so I adjusted the white balance to cloudy for warmer color tones.
It was one thing when the cat knocked over the rolls of Christmas wrapping paper and the basket of bows in the basement where they're stored. But when kitty somehow managed to turn on the faucet in the basement basin and knocked the plug into the drain, things got really bad...

The red-bellied grackle is endemic to Colombia where it is found in all three Andean ranges at altitudes of 800 to 2,400m (2,600 to 7,900ft) above sea level.
Its natural habitat is tropical forest, but the trees are increasingly being felled for timber and to make way for agriculture, and little virgin forest remains within its range.
H. pyrohypogaster was formerly classified as "endangered" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature but in 2012 the threat level was lowered to "vulnerable". This is on the basis that, although its forest habitat remains under pressure, it has been found at some new locations where it was not known before. The total population is now estimated to be in the range 2,500 to 9,999 individuals.
it was one of the wettest Octobers on record but it was as ever a really pretty month , and November is usually much wetter . so hoping for a drier month now

It was a 5 day long via ferrata adventure, mountain hut to mountain hut in breathtaking scenery of Brenta Dolomites. Route is called Bocchette Alte. It is medium-high difficulty. Highly recommended to anyone into this sort of activity.

I took this today at the Reifel Bird Sanctuary in Ladner, BC. It is such a wonderfully peaceful place to walk and watch the birds.
I will be out much of tomorrow so will catch up with all of you as soon as I can.
It's beautiful here in Holland, MI, this time of year. The annual Tulip Time is in full swing. I took this picture 10 days ago so these tulips are probably getting past their peak. A lack of sun and time prevented me from getting back to these blossoms and shooting them in full bloom.
It's shots like this that makes it worth the while to lay on the beach even though it's getting harder to get up. A Sanderling with a Sand Flea at Stone Harbor point NJ.

It's not so pronounced but here one can see a bit of that famous defect which this lens is known for. What do you think Simon : ) ?

It is always beautiful to see the gathering of geese during the migration! They are many! They rest and feed to undertake a long journey!
The bar-headed goose is a goose that breeds in Central Asia in colonies of thousands near mountain lakes and winters in South Asia, as far south as peninsular India. It lays three to eight eggs at a time in a ground nest. It is known for the extreme altitudes it reaches when migrating across the Himalayas.
