...not me! The theme for Me Again Monday is 'I like to move it, move it!' As you see, I'm not moving at all but I'm sure this door connected to an old warehouse has experienced plenty of moving in and out over the years.

HMAM!
Can we forget about the things I said when I was drunk?
I didn't mean to call you that
I can't remember what was said and or what you threw at me
Please tell me
Please tell me why
My car is in the front yard and I'm
Sleeping with my clothes on
I came in through the window last night
And you're gone, gone
It's no surprise to me, I am my own worst enemy
'Cause every now and then, I kick the living shit out of me
The smoke alarm is going off and there's a cigarette
Still burning
Please tell me why
My car is in the front yard and I'm
Sleeping with my clothes on
Came in through the window last night
And you're gone, gone
Please tell me why
My car is in the front yard and I'm
Sleeping with my clothes on
I came in through the window last night
It's no surprise to me, I am my own worst enemy
'Cause every now and then, I kick the living shit out of me
Can we forget about the things I said when I was drunk?
I didn't mean to call you that
My Own Worst Enemy - Lit
It's early August and the prairie has already dried and faded to yellows, oranges, and browns. I like the palette, but am already missing this year's short-lived greens. We had no rain in July. There are cracks in the prairie earth that you wouldn't want to fall into; a friend and I looked into one recently, and we could not see the bottom.
Drought concerns notwithstanding, there is a seared beauty to this land that's hard to deny. This is the view across a small wetland - the standing water has dried up but there's still enough moisture to keep a thin fringe of shrubs and grasses producing chlorophyll - and over pasture lands toward 70 Mile Butte. It's the central, flat-topped hill. Surrounding it are North Butte and Eagle Butte to the left, and the Sleeping Lion to the right. We are told that it used to look more like a sleeping lion, but a chunk broke off.

So, this morning started out like any other morning....my son groaned about getting out of bed and demanded that I fix him pancakes or french toast. I went downstairs, began preheating the oven & got the girls' breakfast taken care of. I turned around to see my son standing in the doorway staring at me. I asked him if I could help him, he responded with "are you even fixing my french toast yet?? And i can't find my shoes." ..........
The morning goes on like this and finally, I got all 3 kids wrangled into the car and on our way to school. During the car ride, my son proceeded to tell me that he hates me and how terrible I am to him. Sigh. (If he only knew how much I love him and how I try every day to make his life better.) He ended up sitting quietly for the rest of the trip. I asked him before he got out of the car if he was ok....he didn't answer....I said, why aren't you speaking to me?? He said "don't you know that saying 'if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all'??" I said I knew of that and he said that it was better for him to keep quiet because he had nothing nice to say to me....then he got out of the car.
So, today's photo is me...keeping it together the best that I can at the moment. I'm sure that by this evening, I will have a smile and rebound nicely, like I always do. And then, it will start all over tomorrow.

----------------------------- JESUS ✝️ SAVES-------------------------------
SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST - ALONE!
12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
❤️❤️ IT'S ALL JESUS AND NONE OF OURSELVES! ❤️❤️
16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the SALVATION of everyone WHO BELIEVES: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel a RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM GOD IS REVEALED, a righteousness that is by FAITH FROM FIRST TO LAST, just as it is written: "THE RIGHTEOUS WILL LIVE BY FAITH." (Romans 1:16-17)
16 KNOW that a man is NOT justified by observing the law, but by FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be JUSTIFIED BY FAITH in CHRIST and NOT by observing the law, BECAUSE BY OBSERVING THE LAW NO ONE WILL BE JUSTIFIED. (Galatians 2:16)
1. Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2. BY THIS GOSPEL YOU ARE SAVED, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4. that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5. and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. 6. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8. and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
9. For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11. Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed. (1 Corinthians 15:1-11)
7. Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9. I am the gate; whoever enters through me WILL BE SAVED. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10. The thief comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)
1 Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. 2 For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. 3 Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. 4 Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
5 Moses describes in this way the righteousness that is by the law: "The man who does these things will live by them." 6 But the righteousness that is by faith says: "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 "or 'Who will descend into the deep?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:1-13)
Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus took the death WE so richly deserved for us and died in our place. The good news is, there's no more punishment for sin left. WE, you and I were all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

It seems there is more interest in sunsets than sunrises. Perhaps because innately we fear the dark.

The start of my 192 mile walk across England in 16 days, I had tough days, and some not so tough days, days ranging from 18 miles to 10 miles, I loved every minute of it, it's good to be back and share my experience with you, all my wonderful followers.

"What's up, baby?
It's your new boyfriend
Royce
Oh yeah
You know, this got that dancehall feel to it
Prince Royce
Mr. Worldwide
Takeover, that's right
Girl, your body is timeless, yeah
Girl, your body got me like
Oh, my gosh; oh, my gah
Oh mama
And you're making me earn it, yeah
Oh, you're making me earn it
Oh, my gosh; oh, my gah
Oh mama
Ain't nothing fake on you
You so so real (so real)
Tried playing cool
But can't help how I feel
I love it when you drop it down
Baby, back back back it up
(Dámelo papi chulo
Dámelo papi chulo)
You turn around and make it bounce
Baby, back back back it up
(Dámelo papi chulo
Dámelo papi chulo)
Oh, I wish I was stronger, yeah
But you're making it harder
Oh, my gosh; oh, my gah
Oh mama
And you make me go loco, yeah
Say it over and over
Oh, my gosh; oh, my gah
Oh mama
Now, back it up
Put your booty out
Move it in, Move it out
Now wind it up, While I grind it up
Like a 20 sack, and roll it out
You can go anywhere in the world
And you know that they know about me
I don't think you really ask that girl
If she knows anything about me
Nah, nah, you don't
Word of advice: want a happy life?
Don't look for what you don't wanna find
But before your boyfriend finds out
Back up it one more time"

It was a gorgeous evening here in Orono - perfect temperature, gentle breeze, the glory of summer in Maine. This panorama was just part of a progression from subtle yellows and oranges into deep reds and purples. Again it seems a great way to capture this beauty is with a flying camera. Thanks for looking!

It was a foggy old start to this Winters morning in January (2022). The bus stop offered a rare oasis of light and barrier from the chill.
Stoops Lane, Bessacarr, Doncaster. England.
So any Trekkies who see my wrongness in this, don't badger me. Yes, my badge has the incorrect insignia for a science officer and I'm sure I fucked up elsewhere (Drunk).
Leave it.
Unless you're Dan. He has permission.
Admittedly, I'm not a huge Star Trek fan. Lots of "blah blah Prime Directive blah blah blah." (Love Patrick Stewart though). But I'm semi-familiar enough with it to pull off a TOS science officer uniform. And don't get me wrong, I like it, but it ain't my something that affects my life too much.
For the most part.
My friends are to blame for Star Trek. Part of me still believes one must love either Star Wars or Star Trek. Not both.
(Star Wars obviously but not the prequels. I blame all personal short comings on "Phantom Menace".)
Obviously for those in the know, I'm a low rank officer. Probably due to my extra curricular habits.
PS: Prepare to see the blue wall often as there is too much snow to muddle about with a camera in. Falling down due to changes in elevation and general bumbliness is a risk I'm not willing to take.
It's nest building time and a Marsh wren surveys the state of the cattails in its hood in a marshy area in the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge near Lacey in Washington State.

My Exploration collaboration photo with Katie and Amy!:D
This is my second (successful) expansion and I'm okay with the results. I spent the first few hours of editing this banging my head on my desk because Photoshop crashed twice and wouldn't let me save it in the format I wanted to - I probably had to re-do this about 5 times -_-
I've never actually spent more than a hour editing a picture, and this took me THREE DAYS. I only used 3 additional pictures, and it makes me wonder how people that use 50+ pictures for an expansion can stay sane. I officially hate expansions (no offense to the people who actually enjoy them:P)
pleasepleasepleeeease view this large - you can see the details better!:D

I’m thinking about getting another puppy.
It’s been over 6 years since I took this photo of Jackson a few days before he passed away. Many of you know how horrible it is to lose your best buddy, and wonder if anything could make it worth going through that heartache again.
Folks who don't have pets get to skip those crushing feelings, but then miss out on so much else.
I think what I miss the most about a dog is the absolutely joyful, goofy celebrations that occur over the smallest of occassions. Just walking anywhere near the leash produced intense stares, fidgety ears and small hopeful yips. Actually picking it up was cause for a leaping, dancing, spinning celebration.
Jackson could tell by what clothes I wore the kind of day it would be. He sat glumly on the bed while I put on a suit and tie, but wiggled, woofed and wagged when I put on blue jeans and a T-shirt. Of course I pretty much acted the same way.
Coming home was the cause for the biggest celebrations of all. I suspect the sound of the garage door opener got the party started, because by the time I walked through the kitchen door Jackson was in full fledged loopy mode. Thoughts of too many deadlines and too much traffic would melt away in the midst of leaps, licks and love. And Jackson didn’t care if I’d been a gentleman or a jerk before I left – my return received the same wild welcome. It also didn’t matter if I’d been gone 10 hours or 10 minutes.
Yeh, I miss that. Maybe its finally time for a new puppy…

How many dreams lost in the sands of time ... the madness of senseless wars ... the power of greed that destroys everything ... evil is in men's souls ... when love disappears ... in their heart ... the ancient name was ... Khayrloch ...

A wonderful week dear friends ! Thank you so much once again for all your support ! I am trying catching up these days but more slowly, net problems.
It's hard to tell. After this exchange, they both got up and trotted away, seemingly like equals. I think these are mates, but I'm not certain.
You go with it and enhance that gloom even Moore, A trip up to Halnaker windmill on a misty day when the all surrounding views are shrouded in gloom, you just make the most of what you have to work with, in this case I thought a mono conversion would be the way.
The darker semi circle on the left is where the grass has been worn down by people as they wander around so I enhanced that by a dodging and burning layer.
Hope everyone has a nice day tomorrow i`ll be back later in the week, Happy Christmas all.
Dear mom,
I made a big mistake, I don't know or I ever gonna forgive myself. I'm a monster, I killed a young boy. He attacked me, it was me or him. I can't continue living with this.
Much love your son,
John.

HMAM!
Yesterday Benni and I went very early to Laguna Beach, before 8 a.m., and we had a wonderful morning. The tourist crowds were gone, Benni did zoomies on two beaches, rolled in sand and seaweed, and tried to stop a young surfer who was wading straight out into the water. She barked at him until he laid on his board and paddled on out.
We ended up in the gazebo on the bluff where Benni came and put her wet, sandy head on my knee. I think it was a thank you for a perfect morning.

From an idea I had a few weeks ago. The weather finally got nice enough to go do it.
I wanted to do something with my tablet this week and thought this was appropriate.

Riordinando l'archivio ho trovato questa foto, scattata un pò di tempo fa a Milano, del Palazzo Reale visto dal Museo del 900. Mi è sempre piaciuta, così eccola qua...
like cute puppies. We saw this Chihuahua/Jack Russell cross whilst we were in Cornwall.
Just as a side note, my employer recently got a Hungarian Viszla after his previous dog passed away. A few weeks ago they discovered she had serious problems with her shoulder. Their vet said they were limited to what they could do. As she has her whole life ahead of her, they investigated the Supervet, Noel Fitzpatrick, and joy of joys he has accepted her as a patient. Hopefully, she will be operated in mid September (for those not in the UK, please google him - he does such terrific work with pets.
