The crow was rummaging around in the fallen leaves in the Park. Then I saw, he got some kind of insect and then happily flew off.

it's been a while since I posted a buffalo pic so thought today's photo would be it.

Pike O'Blisco with its collar of cloud rises above a sea of haze - last post from a very good walk

It's been a while since I went for a shoot here in my home country.

Life is busy and good but it's difficult to find time for photography...:-) Even more because our second child is coming soon, which of course really something to look forward to. Baby photography will probably replace landscape photography for a long time...:-)

At the coast near Wierum, the clouds were coming in from the sea very fast just before sunset and they started to cover the sky and sun a bit too fast for my taste. But fotunately there still was a bit of light and color left for me....

By the way, it wasn't easy to leave this spot because my boots were stuck in the deep mud..:)

The start of my 192 mile walk across England in 16 days, I had tough days, and some not so tough days, days ranging from 18 miles to 10 miles, I loved every minute of it, it's good to be back and share my experience with you, all my wonderful followers.

"What's up, baby?

It's your new boyfriend

Royce

Oh yeah

You know, this got that dancehall feel to it

Prince Royce

Mr. Worldwide

Takeover, that's right

Girl, your body is timeless, yeah

Girl, your body got me like

Oh, my gosh; oh, my gah

Oh mama

And you're making me earn it, yeah

Oh, you're making me earn it

Oh, my gosh; oh, my gah

Oh mama

Ain't nothing fake on you

You so so real (so real)

Tried playing cool

But can't help how I feel

I love it when you drop it down

Baby, back back back it up

(Dámelo papi chulo

Dámelo papi chulo)

You turn around and make it bounce

Baby, back back back it up

(Dámelo papi chulo

Dámelo papi chulo)

Oh, I wish I was stronger, yeah

But you're making it harder

Oh, my gosh; oh, my gah

Oh mama

And you make me go loco, yeah

Say it over and over

Oh, my gosh; oh, my gah

Oh mama

Now, back it up

Put your booty out

Move it in, Move it out

Now wind it up, While I grind it up

Like a 20 sack, and roll it out

You can go anywhere in the world

And you know that they know about me

I don't think you really ask that girl

If she knows anything about me

Nah, nah, you don't

Word of advice: want a happy life?

Don't look for what you don't wanna find

But before your boyfriend finds out

Back up it one more time"

So any Trekkies who see my wrongness in this, don't badger me. Yes, my badge has the incorrect insignia for a science officer and I'm sure I fucked up elsewhere (Drunk).

Leave it.

Unless you're Dan. He has permission.

Admittedly, I'm not a huge Star Trek fan. Lots of "blah blah Prime Directive blah blah blah." (Love Patrick Stewart though). But I'm semi-familiar enough with it to pull off a TOS science officer uniform. And don't get me wrong, I like it, but it ain't my something that affects my life too much.

For the most part.

My friends are to blame for Star Trek. Part of me still believes one must love either Star Wars or Star Trek. Not both.

(Star Wars obviously but not the prequels. I blame all personal short comings on "Phantom Menace".)

Obviously for those in the know, I'm a low rank officer. Probably due to my extra curricular habits.

PS: Prepare to see the blue wall often as there is too much snow to muddle about with a camera in. Falling down due to changes in elevation and general bumbliness is a risk I'm not willing to take.

It wasn't really midnight but isn't it great to be able to create a story out of a simple photo. I think it's called imagination ;)

I’m thinking about getting another puppy.

It’s been over 6 years since I took this photo of Jackson a few days before he passed away. Many of you know how horrible it is to lose your best buddy, and wonder if anything could make it worth going through that heartache again.

Folks who don't have pets get to skip those crushing feelings, but then miss out on so much else.

I think what I miss the most about a dog is the absolutely joyful, goofy celebrations that occur over the smallest of occassions. Just walking anywhere near the leash produced intense stares, fidgety ears and small hopeful yips. Actually picking it up was cause for a leaping, dancing, spinning celebration.

Jackson could tell by what clothes I wore the kind of day it would be. He sat glumly on the bed while I put on a suit and tie, but wiggled, woofed and wagged when I put on blue jeans and a T-shirt. Of course I pretty much acted the same way.

Coming home was the cause for the biggest celebrations of all. I suspect the sound of the garage door opener got the party started, because by the time I walked through the kitchen door Jackson was in full fledged loopy mode. Thoughts of too many deadlines and too much traffic would melt away in the midst of leaps, licks and love. And Jackson didn’t care if I’d been a gentleman or a jerk before I left – my return received the same wild welcome. It also didn’t matter if I’d been gone 10 hours or 10 minutes.

Yeh, I miss that. Maybe its finally time for a new puppy…

Dear mom,

I made a big mistake, I don't know or I ever gonna forgive myself. I'm a monster, I killed a young boy. He attacked me, it was me or him. I can't continue living with this.

Much love your son,

John.

Okay, maybe beautiful isn’t exactly the right word, but the sunset reflections in those melting snow puddles are kinda pretty, I think, and it was a great day for a walk on Monday. We had relatively balmy 45 degree F temperatures and we’ve lost a lot of our snow. Colder temps and a bit more snow are in the forecast for later this week.

It's always something. If it's not one thing, it's another -- Roseanne Roseannadanna

Pictures with Zeke, Joaquin, Garett and Andy at their house. The kids are Jewish, Mestiza (Mexican Indian/Spanish) and Cherokee. I love taking pictures of siblings, but it was also neat to work with brothers. Somehow I managed to get a bunch of sisters together, but this is the first brother set. They're the same as girls in the sense that they are young and respond well to the camera. I like how two brothers can have the same parents but such different hair. I suppose that will also be more evident when I put my eventual self portraits up with Rachael's.

Joaquin was a total ham. You can see in some pictures he's literally dancing in the background. Or the foreground. But hammy kids always love the camera, so I love them. Zeke, the older boy was not as energized, but he had a quiet brooding intensity that photographed well, too. I've learned so much about working with young people on this project. I can say I'm a fan of their energy and passion.
