I was walking up and down the steps up to this bridge, along the bridge and finally sat underneath it, to get the best view.

Dr. Ph. Martin's ink and glass pen / Kanagawa, Japan

I was sat in the road sketching as my wife was sat in the road reading. As passing biker jokingly asked if we were a cordon.

In May, I had the chance to do some bicycling-sketching and made my way to an interesting location near the Rideau Canal. The spot is known as Brown's Inlet and a long time ago, it was part of the grand canal system that Col. John By constructed. Today it's a lovely pond surrounded by an upscale community and a collection of interesting trees and shrubs. The bike paths led me directly to its shore where I was able to start this sketch.

This was a commissioned drawing for the Architektur Schaufenster. They wanted to show how spaces like under the Hirsch Bridge were used by people during corona. While I was drawing it, there weren't many people around. I asked the two lads if they would pose for me. My neighbours then turned up so I asked them too!

The driver of one of the diggers stopped another from driving off until I had finished sketching his digger! He also asked me if he could start working when I finished!

I had to highlight only a small part of the castle to stop my waiting family from getting too bored and cold.

Ich habe eben gehört das Wunder Design- und Kunstmarkt abgesagt ist.

The farmhouse owner walked past as I was drawing. She said it dates back to the 16th or 17th century.

I saw on Street View how amazing this building was inside. When I got there it was shut and raining. Managed to find this view in a glassed in lift. The gale still blasted the rain inside somehow. It’s overloaed with classical decoration. I gave up after I got this far.

I thought I’d quickly draw this gate. It turned out harder than expected. As usual I underestimated all the classical mouldings.

This was a commisioned drawing for Architekturschaufenster for their exhibition on all the building projects along Kriegsstraße. I had to social distance myself from the pedestrians while drawing this.

I love drawing cables. There’re plenty in Albania. I haven’t exagerated the number! I really tried to draw each cable accurately!

Lots of characters in this traditional cafe. The waiter is way too tall by the way.

I had just visited Yuki Horikoshi so afterwards I was inspired to leave some negative space in this sketch.

Check out his work, I love it:
