I was sat next to a kindergarten so the kids were chatting. I thought I was dressed fairly fancy but a lad still asked me if I had a home!

I was forced to draw this as I was protected from the snow here.

Avec le groupe des Urban Sketcher Lorient - séance vendredi matin 12 juin 2020

Aquarelle et encre sur carnet Hahnemühle - format A4

A local farmer rode up on his horse for a chat.

I was sat in the middle of the road, so I had to keep getting up to let the cars pass.

It wasn’t idylic as it looks as I left out the road with loads of cars driving up to the lift.

The owner asked to leave the dead flies off the sketch! I was even offered a coffee while sketching.

These churches were always locked up. Luckily the church warden spotted me trying to get in, so he gave me a personal tour.

The caretaker of this barn and the heath it was built on told me it was built only 50 years ago. It’s already been burn down twice since then.

A Blind Little Worm

A blind little worm crawled

Into a big mellow fruit

In this autumn orchard

He was surrounded by sweet pinkish juice

and suspended in this saccharine dark space

I am wondering if he has ever tasted

a little bit of bitterness throughout his life.

Before I came to the town, I had exactly this view in mind!

Drawn to the sound and smell of horses.

I was a bit scared of meeting a wild boar sketching in these quiet woods.

Meine Ausstellung in Cafe Pan in Karlsruhe endet am Sonntag.

Got this far when I had to stop and catch my train. There were another two thirds to draw.

I got a bit confused with the watchtower legs. The top don’t match the bottom, a bit like an Escher drawing.

Drawn from the comfort of the pizza place.
