Influence of traditional motifs of Native American Tribes of the Pacific Northwest, such as Tlingit (pronounced Cling+Ket) and Haida, in contemporary art and design. Here are some wonderful rendering of a blended style of Seattle Seahawks Football team spirit and Native American Tribal motifs. As seen in a store on Market Street, near the movie theater in Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, Washington (State).
I watched the Marie Antoinette movie with Kirtsen Dunst and afterwards I made this. =P You can't see it in this photo, but the socks have little pink bows at the top as well. Bows and lace everywhere, hurrah!
Last Saturday, a small group of demonstrators near Olympic Plaza hoped to influence the leadership elections held in Pakistan on, May 11th. Apparently there are 129 registered political parties in Pakistan. Liberal parties such as the MQM (Muttahida Quami Movement) are under bomb attack from extremists and the Taliban. Many consider the MQM party the "last line of defense to make Pakistan a democratic and civilized society instead of another Afghanistan." According to the BBC over 100 people have been killed in the run up to the election. Military are positioned at polling booths in response to threats of Taliban suicide bombers interfering.
I discovered this group after work, on my way home. After two hours, some voices were a little raspy. I can't say that I'm knowledgeable about the issues, but I felt compelled to take photos.

Italian tea-house or Casita of Bath stone, with a strong Japanese influence, at the gardens of Ilnacullin or Garinish Island, Glengarriff, West Cork. The garden was designed by Harold Peto, (1854-1933), for its owner Annan Bryce, (1874-1924), a native of Belfast, who, with his wife Violet, purchased the island from the War Office in 1910. Violet died in 1939 and their son Roland bequeathed the island to the Irish nation in 1953. The island has played host to well-known writers such as GB Shaw and Æ.

As the amount of ice in the Arctic has considerably reduced since the 1970s, and projections indicate that the reduction will continue, it seems likely that primary production in the Arctic will increase during this century. This chart presents the relationship between annual primary production and the ice-free period based on measurements from several sites in the Arctic.

The architectural elements present on the terrain are in morisco style , a mixture of andalucias past with its arabic history and influences. This white pueblo style, so typical of Andalucias heritage is rapidly vannishing, drowned by loud colors of recent constructions. It is sad to see the traditional colors and architectural styles that have given Marbella its worldwide name and image replaced by tuscan or maroccan colors, The white has been used in Andalucia because in winter it reflect light and in summer it reflects heat. Our most prestigious establisments (Marbella Club, Puente Romano, Marbella Old Town, Puerto Banus, La Virginia together with Ronda ) have wisely remained in pueblo style, but local rules on this subject are vague and poorly applied. Marbella could loose its history and heritage and seriously damage its tourist industry if neglect persists in protecting and preserving its andalusian heritage.
