Anyone who has done a road trip around March or November in South Africa has witnessed the explosion of pink and white flowers on the side of the road! This pink and white countryside landscape drawing is very familiar to many South Africans.
Painting cosmos flowers in watercolour was one of my Grans favorite subjects and has always been a familiar sight in my house. Paintings of the famous pink and white flowers in landscapes or flower arrangements were scattered around the house. So, of course that influenced and inspired me to draw cosmos flowers in my own style.
Music exerts a powerful influence on human beings. It can boost memory, build task endurance, lighten your mood, reduce anxiety and depression, stave off fatigue, improve your response to pain, and help you work out more effectively.
Music can also serve as a kind of mirror, reflecting our own emotions and experiences back to us in a way that allows us to see ourselves more clearly. When we hear a song that captures the essence of our own feelings, it can be a powerful moment of self-reflection and introspection.
So take every opportunity to add a soundtrack to a moment, because you never know just how deeply it can connect us to our past when listening to that track again in the future.
In Second Life, there is a wealth of DJ's and live artists that share their music with everyone that cares to go join them. So take advantage of that and go and enjoy them all, because those moments, as we join them on the trip they lay out for us, will stick in our memory forevermore.

I've caught a bad cold, and haven't been able to smell anything for over a week. So, on the bright side, it doesn't bother me at all if Heidi brings her stinky new toy containing valerian root inside. A fruit and berry farm in Campania, Tasmania. This was taken from the Cherry orchard, looking towards the apple orchard.
The sea is pure therapy. It has a unique ability to completely calm and reset me. I crave it when I'm not there. Much like the mountains but they present a bigger challenge. A regular dose of both is vital to my wellbeing though. This coastline has got me through some tricky times in the past so I am conscious never to take it for granted. The Buddha rests his head on his right arm. There is a legend related to this reclining posture. The Buddha appeared before the giant Asurindarahu, who had wanted to see the Buddha but because of his superior height refused to bow down to him. The Buddha made himself very tall and gave the giant a glimpse of celestial figures that were even larger. The giant was thus humbled.

Artist Marc Quinn juxtaposes his eight-part series Emotional Detox with the iconic “character heads” by Baroque sculptor Franz Xaver Messerschmidt. The exhibition at the Upper Belvedere presents a thoughtful and impactful dialogue between contemporary art and major works from the museum’s collection. Messerschmidt’s work has long been an inspiration to Quinn, and the “character heads” directly influenced the creation of Emotional Detox.
