Loving the idea of springtime....Nature and weather really influence my daily crafting..so you will probably see a lot of nests, eggs, bunnies,animals and flowers from me this month..I am having a lot of fun thinking up designs and colors and implementing that into these flowers..and they are far from petite little things..they are large..noticeable..and would look fabulous attached to a loose hair bun or ponytail..
The size of this beauty is 4" X 4" X 3" in height!!!

as a painter radically influenced by the availability of digital technology, i created LIQUID PAINTING as a means for storyboarding an art form that otherwise usually generates only one final image.
for me, that one final image was never what i wanted. it was ALWAYS the ending of something. and along the way, i would hit points where others would say things like, "stop painting, just leave it like that!!!"
and i respected those wishes INTELLECTUALLY, but i never stopped.
in fact, i developed this INS reactionary response -- i would paint over the parts they had liked so much!!!
it was so typical of the INS syndrome, but it made me realize that i could develop an entire STYLE of painting that was comfortable with destroying itself -- just like tibetan sand paintings.
and this was such a liberating thing for me -- to be able to keep doing what i liked but also to have a bread crumb trail littered with the evidentiary path that a piece had meandered down in order to finally be finished.
unlike the exploding rainbow dahlia which was my first journey into this new art, FRENCH ESCAPISM has characters and gravity and there are inherently natural relationships at work -- the sun and the moon shine on people and trees and houses and horses and oceans and boats.
and like all human existence, the sunshine and moonshine of FRENCH ESCAPISM contains the magick of the gods and our historical love of ease, comfort, peacefulness and rest.
