Thanks to my buddy Tim, I've had this little device since my birthday last December. Thanks to my own ineptitude however I have yet to fully realize it's potential and work geotagging into my workflow. I decided that it was time to chance this, and lately I've been working with the device to unleash it's magical abilities.
Unfortunately for this photo, I somehow borked the log file so no location information is available - but hopefully I'll be able to incorporate it in future Project 365 photos... hopefully

Opening in future development will be an interpretive area focusing on the history of the Indian Camp Creek Park site. Near the fishing pond, park goers can view the Cannon family cemetery, with headstones dating to the early 19th Century. In the "back loop" of the park, guests will be able to climb to the top of the former grain silo for an overlook of the surrounding countryside. An interpretive area near the observation tower will showcase the original homestead believed to have been built in the late 1800s, with a “ghost structure” of the original log cabin.

Individuals are scanned for the presence of Passive Integrated Transponder (PIT) tags; if none are present, two are inserted just below the skin to aid in future identification. These PIT tags, commonly referred to as microchips, are about the size of a rice grain and are widely used by veterinarians to help in identification and return of lost pets.

called by Solidarity Committee for the Victtims of Laxmipeta, 11 am -Spm, 6 .Sept. 2012 .
More than two months have passed since the gruesome mass(lcre of 5 dalit peasants was perpetrated by the landowning .
dominant caste of the village of Laxmipeta in Srikakulam district of north coastal Andhra Pradesh on 12 Ju.ne. Yet none of the .
ring-leaders of this pre-planned assault have been arrested because they belong to the socially and politically dominant caste and are .
connected to the ruling Congress party. Two of the ringleaders directly responsible for the massacre are Botsa Satyanarayana, the AP .
state president of the ruling Congress party and Dharmana Prasada Rao, Minister for Roads and Buildings in Andhra Pradesh .
government. But in spite of abetting and instigating Laxmipeta massacre, they and many of their ilk continue to enjoy immunity from law .
and evade justice. In fact the brahmanical dominant-caste forces of the village were embolde11ed by their strong ties with the state .
machinery-be it in the government, the district and state administration, the police or the ruling-class parties like the Congress. As a .
result, earlier complaints by the dalits of caste violence in the village including caste abuse, threats, beating up and murder that were .
committed since the time of the resettlement of the vHiage were routinely dismissed or overlooked by the police and the administration. .
This becomes clear from the fact that the police even refused to register a FIR or file a case against members of the dominant caste vVho .
killed a dalit woman in Laxmipeta one year back for her defiance to their diktats. Rather, false cases were slapped on the dalits by the .
police under section 107 of CrPC for 'violating peace and harmony! Thus, even though the scale of attack and the extent of violence .
unleashed on the dalits of the village on 12 June were unprecedenti~d. it was by no means an exception or an aberration. It was a part of .
the concerted effort by the politically and socially dominant landowmng caste of Laxmipeta to uproot and displace the sixty dalit families .
from their homes and to usurp their land by unleashing incessant caste violence. .
At the centre of the extreme contradiction between the landowning Kapus and the landless Malas of the village is the question of .
land. Years ago, land was acquired by government for Madduvalasa reservoir built on two tributaries of NagavaJi River which displaced .
thousands of people. Since Laxmipeta village w~s submerged, the government paid a compensation of two lakh rupees per acre to Kapu .
landowners and settled ·190 Kapu families and 60 dalit families about seven kilometres away from original location of the village. One each .
from 40 families of the Kapu caste was provided with employment in the reservoir office departments. The dalit families of the village, .
however, were neither e\·r::n considere!i for ;Ⓜ️ rornpensation no.r were they given emptoy;!1Bi1t. though they ~~o v-~ere disp!a-:ed :;r1d .

Qy_the discrimination at the hands of the government. the dalits of-laxmipeta asserted their riohts over a part of the land t::at intermittently .
comes out from the submergence areajQLa part of the year when the water dries up. Dalits took control of nearly 60 acres of this .
'government land' ~nd distributed it eqqally among the 60 families of the village. Even though each family got merely an acre of land, rich .
crops were raised by the dalits in the past five years by putting their blood and sweat and without being dependant anymore on the .
landlords and rich peasants of the village fo~ work. Thus, the possf:S§ion of agricultural land b1the landless dalits severely weakened the age-old exploitative feudal social relations in the village and redu~ed t~e stranglehold of the C?Steist forces over the lives of the dalits. These forces therefore tried to crush the newfound independence an~d assertion of the dalits by unleashing brutal caste violence and by attempting to take over their land. After failing to do so through force and intimidation, the dominant caste people approached the courts claiming their right over the land of the dr1lits. The court ruled that thP dalits must stop cultivatil"lg their land, thereby once again di.spossessed them from their land. As the court case was still going on, the feudal forces resorting to the bloodbath of dalits in June 2012. .
The state machinery representing the interests of the brahmanieal feudal forces connived in perpetrating the massacre of dalits. .
Even before the incident, the local politicians and police officers tried to persuade the dalits to stop cultivation of their land and to hand it .
over to the dominant castes, which they refused. The dalit families were also aware of the plan hatched by the dominant caste of the .
village to attack them. Though they infonned the police just hours before the assault, it did nothing to prevent this gruesome massacre and .
allowed the bloodbath to go on for hcurs Even the police picket in the village was removed dl'ring the time of the attack on the pretext of .
by-election duties. After the massacre too, the police did not arrest the culprits or book the culprits under the SC/ST Atrocities Act, and .
instead came to their protection. Subsequently, politicians of various parliamentary parties and the administration swooped down on the .
village with their promises of compensationin order to hush up this brutal caste violence. But lhe dalits of the village refused to give up .
their fight for justice in exchange of compensation, and forced the police to arrest some of the culprits. But this struggle is yet not over .
, since all the culprits including the main instigators like Botsa Satyanarayana are yet to be brought to justice and punished for their cnmes. .
i .
I Laxmipeta massacre once again lays bare the semi~feudal S9Jlli-colonial character of the Indian society and.the Indian state as the instrument of class-rule by the.brahmanical feudal forces. Even after 64 years of much-touted 'independence', brahmanical · feudalism thrives in the society leading to a long list of Laxmipetas, Khairtajis, Karamchedus, i_axmanpur-Bathes. Every time, the Indian c:;tate stands with the perpetrators and d0nies justice to the dalits. It is only by militant retaliation that the casteist forces can be dissuadf~d .., committing such heinous crimes, as has been proved by the experience of the revolutionary movement in fighting the feudal landed , in Andhra and Bihar. Moreover, it is only by implementing a revolutionary land redistribution under the slogan of 'Land to the Tiller' ' the New Democratic Revolution that feudalism can be rooted out, brahmanism can be crushed and the fight for annihilcation of · ..,'<en forward. DSU appeals to join aday-long dharna c:t Jantar Mantar tomorrow to demand justice for Laxmipeta massacre. .

MuralArte Antigua transforms drab public walls into thought provoking works of art, as colorful as Guatemala’s rich history and culture. Founder of the project, artist Carin Steen uses her years of experience as mural painter in Central America to teach children and young adults of remote communities to explore, interpret and express their cultural identity and other themes through murals, using a methodology that can easily be repeated by the participants themselves in future projects.

Embryo preservation involves the freezing and storage of embryos for use in future in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. Embryo cryopreservation is also common for fertility preservation. Embryo freezing allows people to store embryos for later use. Embryo cryopreservation is particularly efficient when the embryos are growing well. The survival rate of the embryo is 75%. However, not every embryo is good for cryopreservation. The success of the procedure is ultimately bounded to the embryo selection before freezing. Research shows that there is no risk of birth defects among children born from frozen embryos compared with normal births. If you have any query regarding Embryo Preservation, come and share your concerns at the Shivam IVF Centre in Delhi.
