The Likes of Endaf Owens was Also Prepared after an Engine Failure During Yesterdays Race Which Many thought would put him out of Contention for Today..........However With Some Incredible Overnight Work by Him and His Fellow Mechanics as well as a Late Night Trip to Wales and Back to Pick Up a Spare Engine, Endaf and His Dedicated Team Have Managed to Get his Car Ready for Race 2. As The Light Fell away from the Circuit The Britcar Endurance Championship made its way out onto the circuit with Lights a Blaze and a lot of Energy coming from both the Drivers and their Cars This was Going to be a Race of Endurance and Car Management thought the 45 Minutes of the Race.

The Britcar Endurance Trophy was the First up and it was time to see who could claim that elusive Pole Position and to see if anyone else could challenge the Top Three Drivers Lets see how things turned out.

Thomas Watson Ball studied at the Art Student's League in New York under John Twachtman and Frank Vincent DuMond. He was a member of the Municipal Art Society, the Architectural League, the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the National Arts Club, the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, the Society of Illustrators, the Lyme Art Association, the American Artists Professional League, and the Salmagundi Club. He exhibited regularly at the Lyme Art Association from 1923 to 1929.
The Baxter Collection: Selections from the Matthew A. Baxter Bequest

When Trustee Matthew “Andy” Baxter passed away in February 2022, his estate plans included a gift of Lyme School artworks to the Museum. The current installation of selected examples from his bequest of twenty artworks celebrates a cherished friend and supporter of the Museum, whose generosity has now enhanced the permanent collection.
Andy loved the Lyme landscape, an affection reflected in his collection’s emphasis on local scenes. Examples by artist friends Matilda Browne and George Bruestle depict scenes along Joshuatown Road. A small panel by Bruestle shows the view not far up Joshuatown Road, looking across hazy pastures and fields toward Hamburg Cove. Oils by William S. Robinson, Allen Talcott, and Guy C. Wiggins capture changing light, foliage, and weather—elements that attracted artists to the Lyme region at all seasons.
While the artists included in Baxter’s bequest have ties to Connecticut, not all are represented by paintings made in this area. Will Howe Foote hated New England’s cold weather and left his Old Lyme home for warmer destinations he depicted in paintings like the vibrant Water’s Edge, Bermuda. Carl Wuermer, who spent time in Connecticut as well as around the art colony in Woodstock, New York, is represented by a large but delicate snow scene.
Over the years, Andy demonstrated enthusiasm for the Museum’s exhibition program and even lent a prized painting by Matilda Browne to our 2017 survey of her work. Andy developed an affection for the work of Henry C. White (1861–1952) following the Museum’s 2009 exhibition of the pastels the artist made during nearly daily sessions drawing outdoors. While works on paper could not be included in this current selection due to light levels, look for those gifts in future exhibitions, along with examples by Bruce Crane, James Daugherty, Childe Hassam, and J. Alden Weir.
This exhibition is on view in the Marshfield House.

Beyond showcasing the current exhibitions, the Gallery houses The Shop, restrooms, the Visitor Lounge where an introductory video can be seen, and Café Flo. It leads to Marshfield, a Colonial Revival house where many of our lectures and events are held.
Exhibitions in the Krieble Gallery change three to four times each year. From collaborating with outstanding institutions such as the Fenimore Art Museum, the Portland Museum of Art, and the Parrish Art Museum to exhibitions such as The Exacting Eye of Walker Evans based on new research by our curators, there is always something on view to delight and inspire. The Florence Griswold Museum opened the Robert and Nancy Krieble Gallery in 2002. Designed by Centerbrook Architects, recipient of the 1998 AIA Firm of the Year Award, the gallery accommodates exhibition space, collection storage, visitor amenities and the museum shop. Overlooking the Lieutenant River, near where many of Miss Florence’s boarders set up their easels and painted the marshy coastline, this modern facility draws upon the Museum’s unique history and setting.
Visitors enter under a rippling aluminum canopy, which echoes the tidal river just beyond. Flowering vines scaling stainless steel arbors provide verdant contrast to the smooth white building and pay homage to Miss Florence’s lush gardens. Recognizing the importance of light to the Impressionist painters, the curvilinear connecting walls reflect sunlight, cast shadows, and create an airy, welcoming effect. Inside, specially designed skylights allow visitors to experience the artwork in an ambient natural light.

The people and things included in the short animation were just cut out of paper, the main problem I had when making this kind of southpark style animation was that the flat shapes had to stand up vertically, in future it would be so much easier to have a birds eye view as is usually used in paper cut out animations.

It is proposed that happiness be classified as a psychiatric disorder and be included in future editions of the major diagnostic manuals under the new name: major affective disorder, pleasant type.
In a review of the relevant literature it is shown that happiness is statistically abnormal, consists of a discrete cluster of symptoms, is associated with a range of cognitive abnormalities, and probably reflects the abnormal functioning of the central nervous system.

I was shooting these using the timer to try to avoid camera shake but the side flash wasn't working so it all got a bit blurred in the excitement of the moment. Need to get a TTL Ring Flash for this sort of work in future.
Believe that every rookie photographer will ultimately face one of these questions: What your style? What makes you so different as compared to the rest? What makes you worth that amount? Why must I engage you? To be very honest, all these are tough questions (especially for myself).
As a matter of fact, these questions are closely linked and if you get the answer to one, you have solve the mystery.

Wt'iich ls why, for them all radical moblllzatlons are 'ugly. Of course, lhere are ttmes when they try to hide this simple truth by citing the .so called 'tactical' reason. We must remember that all student movements are essentially won or lost fundamentally on the strength of the student mass. Yes, support from faculty helps, as do good negotiation skills, but they are not substitutes for militant mass mobilizations. .

Who else is speaking this language -supporting administration and SFI-AISF: The SFI-AISF leadership was conspic\Jously ~bsent In the months long struggle for workers rights. And they were also quick to dlssodate themselves from the movement, and run to the administration to tender an apology. The vibrant 500 plus march, defying the \3d·ninistratlans threats; the successful university strike or the fact that 884 students signed the demand for UGBM in a matter of hvo hours has all showed that SFI-AISF no longer represent the sentiments of the progressive section of the student <;ommuntty. Ho\vever, it'd be wrong to assume that they have no support left in the campus. The sanghi ABVP has come out in vocal support of SFI-AISF (and the administration), and in no uncertain terms opposed the UGBM because they fear that public optmon may go against SFI. To quote their leaflet on 28 Feb, "AISA and other communist outfits should follow the example of SI-7-AISF and Immediately tender public apology~ Well, SFI-AISF must be proud of their new found support base. As their apathetic attitude towards organizing the UGBM shows, like their friends in ABVP, they too are afrard of the students' opinion. .

The admini-stration kept denying theit responsibility as the Prindpal Em.ployer to ensure legal minim.um wage and proper work. · condition$, nor dld it initiate any dialogue about taking back the retrenched workers. OA 1~. februifry1 the ad·mfnistration, in an arr-ogant, dictatorial manner tore down posters put up by the stude.nts ·on the issue of wo~~rs' rights. Tkis fed to an impasse with the Registrar, witt) the students demanding immediat e dialogue on ~he workers' issue. If the Reg·istrar Mr. Avais Ahmad felt any personal.inconvenience, discomfit, or sense of hurt, .
t was not intended.. &ut the protest demonstration was not a 'Gherao' as the Registrar was not forcefully kept confined in the car but was repeatedly asked to come out and have a dialogue with the students -which he hi~se1f refused to do. This refusal by the administration for a dialogue led to the continuation of the impasse, .whdt was eventually broken by the students, unconditionally. We believe that such impasse-s can be avoided if the administration shows willingness to discuss Issues, honour responsibilities and uphold the legal rights of the workers not only rn Jetter but !n spirit as well.~ _.

The Finale to the BARC Club Car Championships Weekender at Brands Hatch and after a Very Thrilling set of both Qualifying Sessions and Races which took place on the Saturday it was Time once again for each Driver to strap in and get ready for some high speed Racing Action thought the Sunday.
In Tribute to the Marshall who was Tragically Killed on the Saturday Some Car and Driver Pairings were Racing with Orange Hearts on their Cars as a Tribute to all of Motorsports Family of Marshalls for who without Racing would not be possible. Thank You!

The Britcar Endurance Trophy was the First up and it was time to see who could claim that elusive Pole Position and to see if anyone else could challenge the Top Three Drivers Lets see how things turned out.
In First Place was the Pairing Of (Datum Motorsport's Axel Van Nederveen and Adriano Medeiros) in their Ginetta G55A with a Best Lap Time of 52:193 and an Average Speed of 64.75mph. Congratulations Axel and Adriano a Really Fantastic Drive and A Super Victory.
In Second Place was (SVG's Mark Lee) in his Ginetta G56A with a Best Lap Time of 52.086 and an Average Speed of 64.70mph. Amazing Drive Mark Keeping that Ginetta on the Track and Taking Second Place while Nearly Matching the Speed of Axel and Adriano. Well Done.

Now it was Time for the Fan Favourite to Enter onto the Brands Hatch Circuit with the Pre 66 Touring Cars Championship. With Mini's Lotus Cortina's and Ford Falcons. This was One Race that No One Wanted to Miss. After a Very Fast Paced Qualifying Session on the Saturday Which saw (Alan Greenhalgh) take Pole Position who Will be able to Challenge Him During the Race and Snatch Victory Away from Him.
In First Place was (Alan Greenhalgh) in his Ford Falcon with A Best Lap Time of 58.707 and an Average Speed of 72.63mph. Congratulations Alan A Beautiful Example of the Ford Falcon and Certainly a Very Fast One too. Congratulations on Your Victory.
In Second Place was (Robyn Slater) in his Ford Anglia 1550 with a Best Lap Time of 58.992 and an Average Speed of 72.06mph. Very Good Drive their From Robyn to Secure Second Place in The First Race of the Day for the Pre 66 Touring Cars.

The York High Basketball team received support from the annual 1/2 court Hail Mary Charity Golf Tournament held at Briarwood golf course last Saturday. The event aimed to raise money for the team, attracting golf enthusiasts to participate in the good cause. The funds raised will assist the basketball team with essential resources and equipment to enhance their performance in future competitions. It is the 6th year that the fundraiser has been held.
