Immer gerne von mir fotografiert werden die bei der Press eingestellten 140er in blauer Farbgebung. Am 20. September 2023 gab es eine Sichtungsmeldung von einem südwärts fahrenden und entsprechend bespannten Kesselwagenzug aus dem Maintal. Ich spekulierte, dass es sich dabei um die Leistung von Wilhelmshaven Ölweiche nach München Freiham handeln könnte, die planmäßig über Donauwörth fährt. Daher wechselte ich vom Altmühltal auf die Fränkische Alb, in der Hoffnung, dass der Zug dann in Treuchtlingen "richtig abbiegt". Zur Mittagszeit sind die passenden Fotostellen rar gesät, bei Gundelsheim wurde dann der Dinge geharrt, die da kommen sollten. Kurz vor 14 Uhr zeigte sich dann, daß ich richtig spekuliert hatte. Nach Durchfahrt eines ICEs und der Regio rauschte es im Wald und kurz darauf passierten 140 017 und 037 mit ihrem Kesselwagenzug meinen Standpunkt. Die obligatorische Fotowolke, die den Nervenkitzel erhöhte, hat sich auch noch halbwegs rechtzeitig verzogen.
I always like to photograph the 140s in blue livery that are used by the Press. On September 20, 2023, there was a southbound and appropriately hauled tank car train from the Main valley reported. I speculated that this could be the service from Wilhelmshaven Ölweiche to Munich Freiham, which runs via Donauwörth as scheduled. I therefore switched from the Altmühl Valley to the Franconian Alb, in the hope that the train would then "turn right" in Treuchtlingen. At lunchtime, suitable photo spots are few and far between, so at Gundelsheim I waited for what was to come. Shortly before 2 p.m. it turned out that I had speculated correctly. After the passage of an ICE and the Regio, there was a rumble in the forest and shortly afterwards 140 017 and 037 passed my position with their tank wagon train. The obligatory photo cloud, which added to the thrill, disappeared halfway in time.

I was in Devon for my Daughter's graduation and found this in the local country park while walking the dog around a small lake in the pouring rain. It was still there next morning allowing for some quite close shots although shutter speeds weren't great. I do like the dark water though.
Le Plongeon huard (Gavia immer), aussi appelé le Plongeon imbrin en Europe, le Huart à collier au Canada ou le Richepaume en Acadie, est une espèce d'oiseaux de la famille des Gaviidae. Il est de grande taille, bien qu’un peu plus petit que le Plongeon à bec blanc auquel il ressemble fort. Il est plus grand, plus rare et plus septentrional que le Plongeon arctique.

Immer am ersten Wochenende im September findet "Terug naar Toen" (Zurück nach damals) bei der VSM in Beekbergen bei Apeldoorn statt. Insgesamt 10 Dampfloks sind am Wochenende zwischen Apeldoorn und Dieren mit verschiedenen Zügen eingesetzt. 64 415 der VSM zieht einen Güterzug von Loenen nach Eerbeek.
Immer Samstags verkehrt der Gipszug Scharzfeld - Bitterfeld über die Südharzbahn. Hier mit 285 108 ("ITL") bei Nordhausen-Salza. Im Hintergrund die ehemalige Fabrik der VEB Tabak Nordhausen.

Immer wieder gern von mir aufgesucht wird der Blick über das Inntal und den Heuberg bei Kirnstein. Am 13. Juni 2020 konnte ich dort die 193 776 mit dem komplett beladenen DGS 43119 von München Ost Rbf nach Verona Q.E. fotografieren.
The view over the Inn valley and the mountain called Heuberg near Kirnstein is always a favourite of mine. On June 13th, 2020 I was able to photograph Lokomotion's 193 776 with the fully loaded intermodular train DGS 43119 from Munich East shunting yard to Verona Q.E. there.
This Great Northern Diver - an occasional winter visitor to Gloucestershire - has been fishing in and around Sharpness Docks since Christmas Eve and was still present on 3rd January 2018. A second Great Northern Diver has also been seen in the Cotswold Water Park.

Mit dem IRE 200 von Wendlingen nach Ulm Hbf sind 193 247 (Zuglok) und 193 248 am 6. April 2024 unweit von Tomerdingen unterwegs.
Egal, wohin mich die Kamera führt, er ist immer dabei. Mein bester Freund und geduldigster Foto-Assistent auf jedem Weg.

[DE] Immer mehr Intercity Verbindungen werden zu ICE's aufgewertet oder durch Fahrzeuge vom Typ IC2 getauscht.
Nach und nach kommen immer mehr 101er ausser dinst. Die ersten IC1 Wagen wurden schon nach Bulgarien verkauft oder sind von der ÖBB angemietet. Im Jahr 2020 sah das alle noch ein wenig anders aus. Hier waren die 101er noch in Hülle und Fülle anzutreffen
In kürze wird 101 131 ihren IC 2013 durch Ludwigshafen(Rhein)Hbf. in richtung Dortmund ziehen

Der Tagesausgang wurde bei Altheim verbracht. Nach einer guten Stunde des ereignislosen Wartens füllte sich die zuvor entdeckte Stelle zunehmends mit Hobbykollegen bevor 140 438 der Bayernbahn im letzten Licht ihren Auftritt hatte.

Merci encore à Maxime Légaré-Vézina pour m'avoir si bien guidé et grand et chaleureux merci à Simon Théberge et les siens pour avoir pris le relais en m'accueillant afin d'aller à la rencontre du Petit Blongios... Pour une deuxième année de suite, la famille Blongios aura quitté les lieux tout juste avant mon arrivée. Pourtant j'y suis venu deux semaines plus tôt cette fois-ci... Ce sera donc à la mi-juillet la prochaine fois...

Avant de vous présenter des images de ma rencontre avec le juvénile de cinq semaines qui dans l'attente d'être nourri par sa mère restait de longues minutes immobile, nous permettant ainsi de tenter de le capter à satisfaction et à satiété où je ne devais que me concentrer à bien stabiliser mon kayak et ainsi tenter des prises de vues au ras l'eau, j'y reviendrai, donc avant de vous présenter junior, je tenais absolument à rendre hommage à sa maman qui le nourrie et le protège à chaque heure du jour... Toute dévouée. Rien de mieux pour ce faire que de vous présenter un portrait de cette belle dame...
