One of my favourite times of year... and one of my favourite places.... CANADA :)
I guess maybe cos I just paid a deposit for my next trip there, this time heading further west... oh yeah... Rockies here I come!!! :) :) :)
This photo was taken in Milton, Ontario in a lovely park called Hilton Falls last October :) Mum and I had a spectacular day there with my cousin and the sun was glorious as it shone through the trees :)

Santa Maria del Rosario (St. Mary of the Rosary), commonly known as I Gesuati, is an 18th-century Dominican church in the Sestiere of Dorsoduro, on the Giudecca Canal in Venice, Italy.
The classical-style building has a well-lit interior and is exceptional in preserving its original layout and Rococo decoration intact. The construction began in 1725, the church was consecrated in 1743, and the last sculptural decoration was in place by 1755.
It was designed by Giorgio Massari (1687 – 1766), an Italian late-Baroque architect from Venice, who was responsible not only for the building itself but also for its interior fittings and decoration and for commissioning the paintings and sculpture. He did not attempt too original a building, thinking that he could best please his patrons by a design based on those of his famous predecessors, in particular Palladio, whose two churches of San Giorgio Maggiore and Il Redentore were within sight of the new church. The facade of the church was derived from the central portion of the facade of San Giorgio Maggiore, while the basic idea for the interior came from the Redentore.
The one day that I had always hoped for, finally came true. My beautiful honor, my queen and my life and my love took me as her bride and her wife officially! I cannot tell any of you just how happy I am! I love this woman more than anything in my heart and I am beyond proud to be able to say that I am mrs. Brynlee Fireangel for now until the end of time!

Well now I have learned to take two or three balls with me to open fields where children often play or tiny dogs are excercising.. That way I can always get her Roma's attention..Roma rarely brings a ball back or drops it unless I have another... now who trained who?
I have photographed this tree with the Milky Way before but with the current position I like this composition better! 3 shot vertical panorama, 1 flash, 1 video light. It is hard to get good lighting on a flat smooth grey dead tree, could have been better! Arkaba Creek, Moralana Scenic Drive.
I am finding it hard to get my head around the fact our little man is 2 already. And what he has packed into those two years is not to be believed. He is still one wild and crazy guy, full of mischief and character and we love him all the more for it. He has brought so much joy and laughter to this house and not a day goes by that I don't stop and think how fortunate we are that he close to come and live with us.
PS. As you can see he is now fully recovered from that hip operation he had last month.
I think this was the earliest I've seen and heard one of these little birds. Captured singing and catching insects yesterday.
Oh how I wish I was still right there. 22 deg and incredibly windy today. Okay, now the half full version - it did stop snowing :P
High up on Penang Hill, amidst the lush greenery of Malaysia, I stumbled upon a scene straight out of a wildlife documentary. It was the mating season for the dusky langurs—these adorable, shy monkeys often called "dusky monkeys". A particular pair had chosen an unlikely romantic spot: a tangle of electric cables.
As I climbed a nearby slope to get eye-level with these enchanting creatures, I noticed the female langur pause her playful antics. Her wide, soulful eyes fixed on a stray dog barking in the distance, as if pondering the noisy interruption. In that fleeting moment, I captured her gaze—curiosity, caution, and undeniable charm rolled into one frame.
Nature often surprises us with such intimate glimpses into the lives of its inhabitants, even in the most unexpected places. This encounter reminded me of the delicate balance between wildlife and human encroachment, as these langurs navigate their changing world with resilience and grace.
There are many people that would be disappointed trying to photograph the waterfall above. The unrelenting chaos of fallen timber is blocking the serenity of the spillways. I for one welcome the challenge that Murhut Creek presents to me. The canyon is steepish throughout and footing is limited much of the time. Working for compositions is part of the fun of making photographs in the first place.
Truth be told, I am in my favorite element in these situations :)

I'm smiling because to get something for this week's theme it forced me into using manual mode coupled with flash on my camera. Manual Mode is a setting I rarely use with the flash but will do now! I'm Happy.

'I Contain Multitudes' was created from a photo of a sunflower. It refers to God's promise to Abraham, and draws its title from lines in a Walt Whitman poem. it is a part of the Botanical beauty exhibition in Jerusalem.
I know this is a "postcard" Rome photo but this is hommage to the city after all what happened yesterday before the soccer game!
Another Year On.
Another year has passed so I thought today would be the perfect day to revisit this shot.
It took me a while to find the original tree shot and even longer to overlay it with a headshot of the wee man I took today.
Same again next year and many more years to come :)

I really like the composition of this one and got lucky given I only had to trip the shutter 1 time today. This is not cropped. The reason i like this composition so well is these bushes line the entrance to the parking lot of my workplace. there are 2 rows of about 30 plants in each row. I have worked here for over 6 months. 4 times a day, 5 days a week for 6 month i drive past these bushes and today is the first day I noticed them.
