A number of years ago my elderly neighbor gave me a small climbing Hydrangea plant. The plant grew so large that it filled two lattice screens...with woody stems, vibrant leaves and fragile looking white flowers.
We had a special friendship, spending time solving the world's problems and laughing together. She is no longer here, yet I think of her often. It is so good to make connections with people. They do leave footprints in your heart.

One of our gardenia bushes is in bloom with many more buds yet to open.
Another one has not yet bloomed, but full of buds.
Every room in the house has blossoms floating in water. We replace them every few days.
The fragrance is like a drug.
So heavy and heavenly.
These yellow blooms could brighten almost any day, they're spreading more with every new year. tough and hardy plant.

The extension foundation stone records: A M D G - This stone was laid by - E R Lawson Esq - on 8th December 1968.
The foundation stone for the Seymour Hall records: To The Glory of God - This stone was laid by - Mrs T Adams of Naracoorte - and blessed by - The Very Rev T T Reed - MA. D.Litt. Th.D. - Dean of Adelaide - 4th Novemebr 1956. It was opened on 26/4/1957.
The Soldier's Memorial Lych -Gate was dedicated on 26/3/1939.

Imagine it without tourists. A composite of others' photos using my editing and generative fill. I'd love to have a photo opportunity there alone but that's not going to happen.
The massive & awe-inspiring Cathedral of St. Mary in Toledo, Spain is one of the most famous examples of Gothic architecture in Europe. Construction began in the 13th century on the site of a former mosque & Visigothic church. Many additions were made over the centuries making the interior a melange of different styles of art. A tour of the Cathedral is like a walk through history. This little view of a Renaissance fresco through the frame of Baroque sculptured figures epitomized the variety of the interior to me. Skylights let in the heavenly light.

I was photographing the chickens at Wright-Locke Farm when Holly strolled by, while on a walk. I hadn't seen her in many months. She's very sweet and gentle, and sat nicely for some photos.

I only take the one shot.
Not everything in life is about photography, it is good to take in scenes and moments, without having to ‘record’ them.
Something I see all over, people arrive somewhere, up the phone or camera, and gone… will they look at it at home?
As a photo? And forget to look when they are there?
Another sign of the times?
I am so glad I have my ‘MIND’S’ camera, as a way of connecting fully with the world.
I come home with so many more beautiful images than there are in the camera, LOL

The Aurlandsvegen or Snøvegen (Snow road) is a small road between Aurland and Lærdal. You can choose between the fast way, The Lærdaltunnel (E16) or you can drive along a beautiful touristic road;-)
