Breathtaking winter view during springtime along the Aurlandsvegen (Rv 243) Norway.
The Aurlandsvegen or Snøvegen (Snow road) is a small road between Aurland and Lærdal. You can choose between the fast way, The Lærdaltunnel (E16) or you can drive along a beautiful touristic road;-)
Heavenly if you like brutalist concrete structures, that is.

Before my first chance to take a hot air balloon ride, I envisioned a capture such as this one. I was so fortunate to get it. I was looking directly into the early morning Eastern sun that was slightly diffused by light cloud cover. This was a very hard shot to expose properly.
I titled this capture the way I did, because this really was a heavenly flight for me.. :-)

We heard this fellow before we spotted him, an Anna's hummingbird with his scratchy chirping, he remained still for quite a while so I actually got this shot before he darted out attempting to catch a passing insect.
Norway has beautiful scenery, but it also has a dangerous coast. The people who live out here have always been connected to the sea, as sailors, as fishermen and as whalers. And the beautiful coastal landscape is shaped by the waves, through an eternity of time...

If I ever reach heaven I expect to find three wonders there: first, to meet some I had not thought to see there; second, to miss some I had expected to see there; and third, the greatest wonder of all, to find myself there.
