This one is a replacement for one I posted some time ago. The other one had too much detail lost in the shadows, and I have now gotten around to fixing it.

There was more separation between town and country, and even into the first half of the twentieth century.
The "country sayins" were often comical to town ears, and some of them were more "robust" than polite.
I used to know lots of them, but just now the only one that comes to mind is the advice against seeking revenge:
"Tit fer Tat. Like th' owd woman fartin' against thunder!"
Sadly it was rather cold, foggy and windy at the top, so the view to Heavenly Lake was rather obscured. You can see the water and maybe one of the other shores. I hung out as long as i could in 4C gale force winds but the view never got any better than this.
