Millions of years ago, deep in the bowels of our Earth, gemstones were created in innumerable variations. We are familiar with most of them, and indeed we have been so in most cases for thousands of years. Yet every now and again a previously unknown variant of a gem comes to light. One of these 'young' gemstones is Kunzite, with its delicate pink hues, a gem which is seen more and more often nowadays, making an attractive eye-catcher in jewellery. Yes, kunzite has only been known for a little more than a hundred years, and yet it is now going through something like a second renaissance.
In palest pink to light violet hues, it is a Stone of Emotion, opening and connecting the heart to the mind and stimulating a healing communion between the two. Kunzite encourages one to release walls built around the heart for protection, and to be receptive to the experience of unconditional and abundant love.

i'm against animal captivity, be it in zoos or aquariums, but this was the only way to see dolphins up close. they were even more wonderful than i'd expected. there were three of them swimming in a very small tank but the info next to the tank said they were free to come and go as they pleased (the tank was probably connected to the free waters of the port where the genoese aquarium is situated).
