I had to trim back the catnip yesterday, and threw handfuls of the herb towards Toby who just loved it! At the end of it all I gave him an 'aromatherapy massage' by rubbing it all over him. Our soppy tabby-cat thought he had died and gone to heaven! Very entertaining. View large

Christ’s Resurrection Church in Kaunas, Lithuania

The construction of this monumental church above the Kaunas city started in 1934. During the WWII it was used by Nazi as a storeroom, later in time of Soviet occupation it was transformed into radio factory “Banga”. After the national awakening in 1988 the reconstruction work supported by both private and governmental sources started and after several interruptions the church was finally finished and consecrated in 2004.

What's new pussycat? Woah, Woah

What's new pussycat? Woah, Woah

Pussycat, Pussycat

I've got flowers

And lots of hours

To spend with you.

So go and powder your cute little pussycat nose!

Pussycat, Pussycat

I love you

Yes, I do!

You and your pussycat nose!

What's new pussycat? Woah, Woah

What's new pussycat? Woah, Woah

Pussycat, Pussycat

You're so thrilling

And I'm so willing

To care for you.

So go and make up your cute little pussycat face!

Pussycat, Pussycat

I love you

Yes, I do!

You and your pussycat face!

What's new pussycat? Woah, Woah

What's new pussycat? Woah, Woah

Pussycat, Pussycat

You're delicious

And if my wishes

Can all come true

I'll soon be kissing your sweet little pussycat lips!

Pussycat, Pussycat

I love you

Yes, I do!

You and your pussycat lips!

You and your pussycat eyes!

You and your pussycat nose!

I was so surprised to see these Heavenly Blue Morning Glories this morning. They don't do well unless they are nurtured and we certainly haven't done that with the drought. We actually decided not to water them at all, but these two must have found moisture. I'm so happy they came out, I really love the beautiful blue of these domestic glories.

Can anyone guess where this shot was taken?

For as long, long as I can remember

It's been December, no sun,

No summertime to treasure, we weren't grown

And every time that they told us, "Surrender, it will be better"

We just go holding on* to forever for what we know

Broken lover, yes, I made you

Believe that I would be the one to heal you

And if you go now, out that doorway

I won't say your wrong

But you know that I'll* worry about you

For as long, long as she can remember

She wanted better, no home

No one there to protect her, all alone

And so she told me I was her center

Nothing could tempt her

I still roamed- just like her father left her

Ooo, he left her

Broken lover, yes, I made you

Believe that I would be the one to heal you

And if you go now, Out that doorway

I won't say your wrong

But you know that I'll worry about you

Isn't it bad, you been a good victim

You thought I was worth it, you act like I would listen

And maybe you were right at one point, someday

I use to watch you treat the streets like a runway

I use to write with tears on your pretty painted face

Sign language on your back from the first taste

So when he whispers in your ear and you think of me

You wish I would've treated you like you treated me

When you wake up from your dreams of the hallway

Sleepwalking through the streets dressed in all gray

Making streetlamps in the windowpane

I worried from the second I learned your name

Everything in love is life

But where was I last night?

And why don't you feel right?

Broken lover, yes, I made you

Believe that I would be the one to heal you

And if you go now, Out that doorway

I won't say your wrong

But you know that I'll worry about you

Broken lover, yes, I made you

Believe that I would be the one to heal you

And if you go now, Out that doorway

I won't say your wrong

But you know that I'll worry about you

"One of the essential characteristics we need to learn as human was to be gentle, and to be gentle means to be serene, to enter meditation or a prayerful state in the morning and evening." --Larry P. Aitken, CHIPPEWA

The most important talk we can do during any day, is to start the day with prayer and meditation. We need to ask the Creator to be in our lives. We ask Him to direct our thinking. We ask Him for the courage and the power to be gentle. In the morning quiet time, we make our request for guidance using our spiritual tools. We pray for the people and we pray for ourselves. In the evening we thank the Creator for the day, for the lessons and for the opportunity to be of service to others. Then we go to sleep. Great Spirit, today, show me the power of being gentle.

Another one from Álftanes. This is Garðakirkja church only 2 km from my home.

WOW. What a spectacle it was to be underneath the Milky Way at Delicate Arch.

I was always fascinated by Delicate Arch since childhood and seeing it for the first time in person last year was just breathtaking. Ever since, I wanted to capture the Arch underneath the Milky Way. Finally, last weekend the skies were clear and the moon was in its 'new-moon' phase. Crazy as it was, me and my partner in crime Sreekanth Yalamanchili, set out to Delicate Arch from Boise on Saturday morning and reached the Arch trail head after 9.5hrs of driving. Ten minutes into the hike, it was pitch black and as expected, we lost our trail. Finally after searching in the dark for 45mintues we found our way to the Arch! As the Milky Way creeped up the horizon, we got our gear out and anxiously started shooting until 4AM. It was the biggest arc of Milky way I've ever seen! This will be something that I will cherish forever, and glad that I was there to witness it

Drive back after hiking down and sleeping for 3hrs was the most painful, but well worth it!

18hrs of driving + 3 hrs of sleep = 4 pictures

"We must relearn how to cry. A strong man cries; it is the weak man who holds back his tears." --Archie Fire Lame Deer, LAKOTA

Indian men and other men should really meditate on this Elder's saying. So many men have been taught it is unmanly to cry, to show emotions or to feel. When people cry, the Elders say there are two types of tears ? one type will taste salty; the other type will taste sweet. One is caused by pain, and the other is caused by the release from the pain, or joy tears. A strong man knows himself and

knows his relationship with the Great Spirit. The release of tears is a

spiritual act. Our bodies are designed to cry. We should honor our

bodies and use them as the Creator intended. Great Spirit, Grandfather, today, teach me to cry.

*cry* ~ song lyrics by rihanna

I'm not the type to get my heart broken

I'm not the type to get upset and cry

'Cause I never leave my heart open

Never hurts me to say goodbye

Relationships don't get deep to me

Never got the whole 'in love' thing

And someone can say they love me truly

But at the time it didn't mean a thing

My mind is gone, I'm spinnin' 'round

And deep inside my tears I'll drown

I'm losin' grip, what's happenin'?

I strayed from love, this is how I feel

This time was different

Felt like I was just a victim

And it cut me like a knife

When you walked out of my life

Now I'm in this condition

And I've got all the symptoms

Of a girl with a broken heart

But no matter what you'll never see me cry

Did it happen when we first kissed?

'Cause it's hurtin' me to let it go

Maybe 'cause we spent so much time

And I know that it's no more

I shoulda never let you hold me baby

Maybe why I'm sad to see us apart

I didn't give to you on purpose

Gotta figure out how you stole my heart

My mind is gone, I'm spinnin' 'round

And deep inside my tears I'll drown

I'm losin' grip, what's happenin'?

I strayed from love, this is how I feel

This time was different

Felt like I was just a victim

And it cut me like a knife

When you walked out of my life

Now I'm in this condition

And I've got all the symptoms

Of a girl with a broken heart

But no matter what you'll never see me cry

How did I get here with you? I'll never know

I never meant to let it get so personal

And after all I tried to do, stay away from lovin' you

I'm broken hearted, I can't let you know

And I won't let it show, you won't see me cry

This time was different

Felt like I was just a victim

And it cut me like a knife

When you walked out of my life

Now I'm in this condition

And I've got all the symptoms

Of a girl with a broken heart

But no matter what you'll never see me cry

This time was different

Felt like I was just a victim

And it cut me like a knife

When you walked out of my life

(You'll never see me cry)

Now I'm in this condition

And I've got all the symptoms

Of a girl with a broken heart

But no matter what you'll never see me cry

On my life

Christmas Eve at Anne Springs Close Greenway, Ft. Mill SC . Four Pan shots stitched together Lightroom.

Had a wee trip to the highlands this weekend with a couple of friends. It was so nice to be out in the woods and traipsing around in the fresh air. We even climbed the pap of Glencoe, although the rain didn't hold off for that..

I finally managed to try some long exposures, albeit using my camera bag as a tripod. But it seemed to work reasonably well and I loved the colours in this shot. It looks heavenly.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

The ocean's power, the heavenly sights

Cannot outweigh a love filled heart.

And sparkling stars or glowing pearls

Pale as love flashes, beams and darts.

Heavenly Gardens - live your dream today.

This one has a touch of the dystopian to it. I didn't originally intend to go for the run down look but a lack of sand green tiles led me to mix in some olive green and I decided to go with it. The once state of the art complex has fallen into disrepair. One of the shops in the ground floor arcade is closed for good and garbage has piled up in the alley behind the building.

The build started off as an exercise in trying to build a freestanding exterior stair at this scale. I'm reasonably happy with the result. Though I couldn't come up with a compact way to represent the actual risers.

Took Hannah to this graveyard on Saturday to get a few shots.I was pleased with this one as I managed to get the light on the cross looking like a star :-). I have used a texture from deviant art by sirius-sdz.deviantart.com/art/texture-29-89215028 a big thank you

Hannah was very sweet and didn't take the same shots as me :-) It's great having a photoshoot buddy

These photos, Heavenly sky 1 through 16, were all taken in the same afternoon. It was indeed a "heavenly" show. All fifteen photos are farmland in southeastern Michigan between Ann Arbor and Jackson.

"Nature is the storehouse of potential life of future generations and is sacred." --Audrey Shenandoah, ONONDAGA

We need to honor and respect our Mother Earth. She is the source of all life. The sun shines life to the earth, then the earth produces life in all forms and in a balanced way. Everything is here to serve everything else. If we interrupt the flow in any way, we leave nothing for the future generations. Before every decision is made, we should ask, and answer, a final question, "If we do this, what will be the effects on the seventh generation? What will we cause our children to live with?" We need to have respect and love for all things and for all people. We need to do this for ourselves and for all the children still unborn.

My Creator, let me look at nature today and let me have the highest

respect for all the things I see. All the two legged, the four legged,

the winged ones, the plants, the water, the air, the Mother Earth. Let

me have respect for myself.

"From Wakan Tanka, the Great Spirit, there came a great unifying life

force that flowed in and through all things: the flowers of the plains,

blowing winds, rocks, trees, birds, animals, and was the same force that had been breathed into the first man. Thus all things were kindred, and were brought together by the same Great Mystery." ~ Chief Luther Standing Bear, SIOUX

The Great Spirit has six things that make up this life force. They are

life, love, intelligence, soul, principle, and truth. These are the

reasons the life cycle continues. None of this can be altered by man,

but we can have access to these powers any time we wish. Just think

about it - anytime I have a need I can access one or more of these powers."

Oh Great Mystery, let me know how to use these powers. Today, let me love life, let me know truth, let me live by principle, and let me

follow Your intelligence.

Johnny take a walk

With your sister in the moon

Let her pale light in

To fill up your room

You've been living underground

Eating from a can

You've been running away

From what you don't understand...

Look

She's slipping

You’re sliding down

She'll be there

When you

hit the ground

It's all right, it's all right, all right

She moves in mysterious ways

It's all right, it's all right, all right

She moves in mysterious ways

O-o-oh

Johnny take a dive

With your sister in the rain

Let her talk about the things

You can't explain

To touch is to heal

To hurt is to steal

If you want to kiss the sky

Better learn how to kneel

On your knees boy

She's the way - She turns the tide

She sees a man, inside the child

Yeah

It's all right, it's all right, all right

She moves in mysterious ways

It's all right, it's all right, all right

She moves in mysterious ways

Love

It's all right, it's all right, all right

lift my days, light up my nights

Love

One day you will look... back

And you'll see... where

You were held... how

By this love... while

You could stand there

You could move on this moment

Follow this feeling

It's all right, it's all right, all right

She moves in mysterious ways

It's all right, it's all right, all right

She moves in mysterious ways

O-o-oh

Oh love

Oh love, lover

Move you

Spirit move

Baby love me

Move

Baby love me

Move you

Baby love me

Move with it

She moves with it

It was still a few hours before sunrise and I caught this beautiful, transcending cloud formations. The sun was still strong and the light hitting the clouds making it looks like there is a heavenly mountain just behind the Big Mountain range.

Luckily I was waiting for sunset and able to capture it.

Unfortunately, the clouds dispersed soon after, just before sunset. It would be more magnificent if the clouds stay during sunset.
