We also made the kanzashi, the tsumami zaiku.

The silk has a common motif called 麻の葉 asa no ha, and it is a traditional design, with an addition of flowers.

Kamuro are the attendants to Tayu and Oiran. In modern day, they are usually girls who are curious about Tayu, interested in Kimono and Tea Ceremony, and starting to learn Japanese dance.
Rosenlied Chocolate and Sage are my YOSD (1/6th size) dolls wearing silk kimono, sewn by me, and decorated to be little Kamuro. I added silk hair flowers (called kanzashi) because I wanted to. ♥ (Traditionally they'd wear crowns, and modern Kamuro tend to have just bobbed hair.)
1/4 size doll kimono and kanzashi set. The gold obi is a heart obi, designed to fit nicely with he under layer kanzashi.
A good mail day yesterday. This little beauty is now residing here at the house. Star D has come to Ohio from Australia.
The left one is for a 30cm sized doll like MDR Coppelia sisters/Fashion Royalty/Poppy Parker, the right one is for a 35cm tall YOSD.

Enmusubi is modeling one of the first kimono we made... and a very recent commissioned kanzashi in pin with white stamens. It looks really wintery and pretty with white stamens.

The pink kimono is silk. The light blue one is actually a synthetic blend, made for washable kimono wearing.

Modeled on hybrid doll, body is Dream Valley. Head is Iplehouse Sleeping Amy.

The silk wisteria hairpin is handmade by me. So is the mauve kimono, both obi. But the green kimono I picked the silk and a friend made me a while ago!

Leggings and kimono-esque (actually more like 童直衣 (わらべのうし、なおし) (the round collar everyday clothes worn by nobles in the Heian period) and kind of 水干 (suikan) ... basically just playing tho 'cause it's jersey fabric. So, inspired by. Not the same. 😚
Trousers are cotton~ I love the chemistry set, and gold plaid or purple plaid are just too cute.
These geta are not made by me. These gorgeous geta were made by devil_fox_413_BJD (oni BJD geta) on instagram. Beautiful traditional ones hand painted and hand polished. Cut with mastery too!
Willow is holding a custom 11 cm paper lantern which reads "Hyakiyako" (百鬼夜行)
This kimono is deceptively simple on the top and sleeves, but from behind you can see this kimono is exquisitely painted. We were happy to buy it and put it together to be worn for years by various 1/3 dolls...
Anyway, who do you think wore it best?
