Hazel is wearing a silk wig I made. It's the first one I've made, so I'm still experimenting with what updos are possible, but so far, I like the "stiff but soft" quality, and look forward to seeing how it can be styled.
...this is almost every doll kanzashi I've made but no sold yet. ^^
The Hermit: 隠者
This is a fantasy style kimono based off of manga and short-novels illustration~ it's not quite kariginu and not quite everyday casual clothes in the heian period either-- 直衣? Kind of? Simplified for easy wear and also because I made this in a week, and it was a lot of work for a week's work. 🎃
Also, look at her shoes. Red and silver shoes by MiaDollShop on etsy.
We have since sold her body and this head, but are getting faceups done for her sleeping and partially open eyes. ^^
The little pink and white decorative balls are northern decorations; spring time is a long way off there, historically, so these stood in for flowers. Now, since the new year has changed to the solar calendar, a lot of the rest of Japan uses them too since it'll be winter for at least two more months.
Wearing a lovely momiji kanzashi (maple leaf hair pin)
Thistle (a Doll Chateau Kid, tall MSD, 50cm) is standing in for 57.5cm LilyCat ...
(Her lovely face is a bit small, of course, since she wears 6-7" wig, and 7-8" wig)

Harri's first kimono.
Handmade by me.
My friend had a kimono made, and when doing so, she had some leftover silk. She gave it to me to make something with it...so this is what I made. ♥
Polie: I'll keep it to my big sister as home coming present.
I know she will love this like I do ^ ^
Oh! what a kind girl, but it's gonna melt sweetie you can't keep it that long ^ ^
I think your sister will be here next year,so now you can eat it first and we buy it for her later. OK?
My Tayu look very soft and sweet with their Kamuro.
Tayu were traditionally courtesans, but modernly they are dancers, Shinto shrine attendants, and conversationalists who know a variety of very old Japanese arts.
Kamuro were traditionally the girls chosen to become Tayu (if they were good enough at the arts), and assisted their Tayu.
I took some liberties with their hair ornaments because hair ornaments are my specialty and I wanted to play.
The kimono sets are all made by me. I also made the hair flowers.
Muffin wearing the off- white rose dress.
Only 2 left in my shop,I gonna go for new dress because I'm boring sewing this dress over and over ^ ^
We bought some vintage kimono fabric that was too old to dye in the traditional, painstaking methods, so we got it at vintage prices...and decided to dye it in a beautiful mint with rainbow accents!

Enkiri is in tapioca resin, and Enmusubi is in picot blue resin.
Handmade kimono and handmade tsumamizaiku (the kanzashi hairpins). Both are plum blossoms, but in great colors-- pink, blue, and red!
Juniper has wagashi to offer; sweet little bunnies and tea for you.
We made both kimono, the hair ornaments and the pink hair bow inspired by Oiran.
I made some 1/4 size silk kimono! These leave kanzashi that I've been working on for a few months go really well.
I want to try to finish before the season is long over next time, haha!
This lovely purple is decorated with cherry blossoms and peonies.
The white uchikake is sheer, a sort of sparkle organza that works wonderfully for early spring frost.
