Thistle looks lovely with light purple colored hair. She's a sweet doll with a tearful expression.
Handmade and hand dyed kimono by me~! The shibori (dark purple silk) was one I bought from a dye artisan.
The wisteria hana kanzashi are the same ones from before; hanndyed silk folded into petals and arranged into the wisteria shapes.
The little fruit is called kinkan, and this together is called "kagami mochi," or two "mirror"shaped mochi stacked on top with a bitter orange (it's actually not an orange. Similar! You can eat the peel tho.)

I made some 1/4 size silk kimono! These leave kanzashi that I've been working on for a few months go really well.
I want to try to finish before the season is long over next time, haha!

This one has been in the works since...May or June? But we finished!!
We bought some vintage kimono fabric that was too old to dye in the traditional, painstaking methods, so we got it at vintage prices...and decided to dye it in a beautiful mint with rainbow accents!
Thistle, Yurie, and Miyabi are all lovely in kimono.
Tayu were traditionally courtesans, but modernly they are dancers, Shinto shrine attendants, and conversationalists who know a variety of very old Japanese arts.
Kamuro were traditionally the girls chosen to become Tayu (if they were good enough at the arts), and assisted their Tayu.
I took some liberties with their hair ornaments because hair ornaments are my specialty and I wanted to play.
The kimono sets are all made by me. I also made the hair flowers.
with some cute air bubbles and their shadows, which kinda reminds me of jupiter's moons (though colors don't really match)
took two nights work to make this dress but I think it was worth it I`m very pleased with the result as it very much the Mori style I have been trying to achieve

This is a fantasy style kimono based off of manga and short-novels illustration~ it's not quite kariginu and not quite everyday casual clothes in the heian period either-- 直衣? Kind of? Simplified for easy wear and also because I made this in a week, and it was a lot of work for a week's work. 🎃
