Teppanyaki (鉄板焼き, teppan'yaki) is a style of Japanese cuisine that uses an iron griddle to cook food. The word teppanyaki is derived from teppan (鉄板), which means iron plate, and yaki (焼き), which means grilled, broiled or pan-fried. In Japan, teppanyaki refers to dishes cooked using an iron plate, including steak, shrimp, okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and monjayaki.
Modern Teppanyaki grills are typically propane heated flat surface grills and are widely used to cook food in front of guests at restaurants. Teppanyaki grills are commonly confused with the Hibachi Grill, which has a charcoal or gas flame and is made with an open grate design. With a solid griddle type cook surface the Teppanyaki is more suitable for cuisine that calls for smaller ingredients such as rice, egg, and finely chopped vegetables.

Somewhat healthier version of Bisquick Heart Smart pancake mix: add 1-2 cups, or a half bag, of frozen berries (organic is better), chopped and thawed. Trader Joe's mixed berry is a good deal.

Ole's Waffle House on Park in Alameda serves up some serious breakfast. I love sitting at the counter so I can watch the mountains of glowing hash browns frying up.
This is a 2 egg composite.
On Griddle:
-crack 1 egg in a large pastry cutter ring
-toss on an ounce of minced ham and a good grind of black pepper
-as white sets up, give a quick scramble
-drop second egg right in the center of the scramble
-cover with tall lid (I toss a tsp of H2O under for steam) until cooked to desired "set"
Build on a bagel base, add some ham, the egg and garnish, voila!

The onion was baked in tin foil with rosemary and butter and then reheated on the griddle that the sausages were cooked on.

This restaurant opened in May 2013; it was originally a Dairy Queen, which opened in fall 1971 and closed in 1989. It became La Tolteca Mexican Restaurant in 1990, The Busy Bee Restaurant in winter 1994, Andy's Pancake House in the late 1990s and Gus's Hot Dog King in 2006.
David Andrew Stieb (b: July 22, 1957) is a former MLB right-handed starting pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays. A seven-time All-Star, he also won The Sporting News' Pitcher of the Year Award in 1982. Stieb amassed 140 wins in the 1980s, the second-highest total by a pitcher in that decade, behind only Jack Morris.
He played for the Blue Jays from 1979 to 1992 and again in 1998. On September 2, 1990, he pitched the first (and, to date, only) no-hitter in Blue Jays history, defeating the Cleveland Indians 3–0.
During his career Stieb won 176 games while losing 137. Only Jack Morris won more games in the 1980s. Stieb holds career records for Toronto pitchers in wins, games started, shutouts, strikeouts, and a variety of other categories. Stieb appeared in seven All-Star games, also a Blue Jays team record.
On August 29, 2010, Stieb threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Rogers Centre, celebrating the 20th anniversary of his no-hitter game, with the anniversary coming four days after the celebration. Stieb's number 37 was engraved on the pitcher's mound for the game.
In 1993, he played four games with the Chicago White Sox, before finally retiring due to lingering back problems.
