This was my first attempt at gradient dyeing and I'm pretty happy with it :-)
The yarn is wool/angora/bamboo/nylon blend, dyed with food dye. Colours are heat fixed :-)
I made this using a few different brush sets I downloaded. After I used those I overlayed a full saturation gradient to add some color. Looking at it now I'm not sure how much I like the small text up in the corner, it takes a lot away from the unity of the piece.
inspired by my sketchbook page, Angie's Garden (in my Amber book) - used up leftover paint on the right side, then mimicked the gradient with gelatos on the left
For the last week or so, we've had thunder and lightning in the evenings because of the high humidity - these shots are from my balcony looking to the east. Note the timestamps - this was near to midnight and the sky was lighting up fully!
