I made this using a few different brush sets I downloaded. After I used those I overlayed a full saturation gradient to add some color. Looking at it now I'm not sure how much I like the small text up in the corner, it takes a lot away from the unity of the piece.
First 1000 piece, first gradient. Took five days. Daylight was required for some of the darker shades. The lines in the image helped with the solve. Curious to try a pure gradient with just color like the Cloudberries 1000.

There is one cardinal rule of taking self-portraits in a mirror and that is this: if you can see the lens, the lens can see you. I had the darndest time getting myself in focus until I remembered this and then it was smooth sailing, so to speak.
I really like how adjusting the tones to make them appear seemless created a gradient from the upper right to the lower left. It looks a lot more like there were four portholes and four of me, I think.
I also happen to have done this on what is apparently Gratuitous Picture of Yourself Wednesday, which I must admit doesn't sound as cool as bokeh Wednesday. Can I claim both since my portholes are out of focus?

To take this photo, I walked down to the lower part of the cemetery to get a clear shot. I then back up into a field so that I could get the tree silhouettes in the shot.

The gradient sign at Middleton Top is a bit eye popping for a railway. The one on the left is about what you might expect from a railway, but 1 in 8? The sound of the trains being hauled up and down the incline must have been very loud!
Hey guys I made this project in art class; it was kiln fired and all, I did this in ceramics class, but I didn't' do those funky wild colors back then, because I tried to err on the conservative side, I always loved spiral shapes and this was a fun idea as it gives it a cool optical illusion look to it.
