Der Verlauf gipfelt im Gelb. Sicher ein seltsamer Attraktor für Bienen und Kollegen.
Yellow dominates and is the culmination of this color game.

Captured in May 2019, I had every intention of playing with the angles for the composition and editing of this shot. I had no idea that the car would really play such a role in distorting perception of the gradient of this steep slope in the city. Enjoy!
Photographing these Snow Geese was a crazy moment like something out of Hitchcock's, The Birds! You would think with so much chaos, there would be a lot of injuries, bumps and bruises but when they cleared, you’ll be glad to know, no bird was left behind. 😊 HSoS!

You can only reach this view of the reservoir by negotiating the inhumane 'Devil’s Staircase' road (!) with 21% ramps and completely blind summits. It is a series of hairpin turns, reaching a maximum gradient of 20.1% It is an old drover's track stretching for about 20 miles between the small hamlet of Abergwesyn and the town of Tregaron. It is a single-track metalled road, extremely narrow and twisty. The road surface deteriorates considerably at times, with the center section covered in gravel. If you are scared to drive on narrow mountain roads impassable for two average cars at the same time, it's better to avoid it! It was pretty hairy I have to say but the view was pretty spectacular despite the grey, drizzly day!!
'Hastings' (Hunslet, 1888) and Isibutu (Bagnall, 1945) start making their way up the short gradient to Statfold Junction.
This week's theme for Mosaic Montage Monday is Gradient. I added some gradients and I was happy to see that Mother Nature provided some of her own...
HMMM!
The Stoosbahn is a funicular railway in the canton of Schwyz. It connects the Hintere Schlattli in the municipalities of Muotatal, Morschach, and Schwyz with the village and mountain resort of Stoos, above Morschach. The new line has a a maximum gradient of 110% and is the steepest funicular railway in Switzerland and Europe, superseding the Gelmerbahn. It has been widely claimed to be the steepest in the world, although the Katoomba Scenic Railway in Australia is steeper, with a maximum gradient of 122%.
