With a generous gift from Kathleen Dore (BBA 72, MBA 84), Keith Jepsen and Henry Tippie, we have created the Kathleen Dore-Henry B. Tippie Women’s MBA Leadership Program. This program takes a personal and transformational approach to women in the Tippie MBA program. In order to truly support the leadership development and transformation of female MBA students, it requires a longer-term, personalized program.

To this end, the Kathleen Dore-Henry B. Tippie Women’s MBA Leadership Program creates a sustainable and on-going series of initiatives to be woven directly into and throughout the two-year Full-time MBA Program.

2018/05 - Commitment- Hanna Lindquist

On Saturday, 3 February 2018 Veronica-Clibborn Dyer generously invited RAS members to visit her beautiful garden and adjacent buildings with Kwun Yam and Shing Wong Temples and a small museum of local field and lifestyle artifacts including deity ceramics.

In 1996, Veronica Clibborn-Dyer and her late husband Ron, formerly a HK policeman, discovered a run-down property in the hills above Nam Chung in HK’s far north-east, overlooking Starling Inlet. Some good detective work and the lucky find of a scrap of paper with a UK phone number on it enabled them to finally identify the owner and background of the building and eventually an arrangement was established whereby they became live-in caretakers of the property. This involved years of hard labour by Ron and Veronica, clearing out a lot of old rubbish, since the place had been a refuge for women, mostly retired amahs who had nowhere else to go once their working lives were over. As well as cleaning up the property to make a home and conserve the place, Veronica and Ron created the most wonderful garden in the terraced grounds. With its beauty and charm, plus its position amid some of HK’s most stunning scenery, their Temple of Peace and Tranquility is truly a special and unique place.

At the top of the nearby hill is a pavillion dedicated to the memory of Sir Edward Youde, Governor of Hong Kong from 198 to 1986. From this viewing point there are views of Sha Tau Kok, Starling Inlet and the Yantian district of Shenzhen in mainland China.

A big thank you to the participants and generous donors of the first ESCP Europe Fundraising Gala in London last week. An impressive £220,000 was raised which will contribute greatly to the ESCP Europe Scholarship Programme.

Over 100 guests gathered at the Four Seasons Park Lane for a wonderful evening sponsored by Ondra Partners and New End Associates. A cocktail reception was offered, serving champagne premier cru Frerejean Freres, and was followed by a gourmet autumn dinner.

The auction, led by Adrian Biddell, spurred great interest for the wonderful lots donated by Pierre Guénant (72), Olivia de Posson (06), Jean-Pierre Raffarin (72), Christian Marti (93), and W. Salamoon & Sons.

Around 15 alumni pledged their support to the ESCP Europe Scholarship Programme for the equivalent of eight years of study or a total amount of £120,000.

This unprecedented mobilisation demonstrates the unity and dynamism of the ESCP Europe alumni network. It also shows its commitment to support the School's growing momentum, forging a path to become the number one business school in Europe with a truly global reach.

On behalf of the scholarship students and all the ESCP Europe community, thank you!

My wife has been over whelmed by the generosity and good wishes of her staff, patients, friends and relatives on her retirement as a GP (family doctor) of nearly 33 years. Cards galore, one signed by 4 generations of one family.

Looks like we could open a florists and an off licence.
