I have been very fortunate in holidaying in a gorgeous chocolate box thatched cottage in deepest Suffolk for the last week.
Three friends and i have been allowed to stay in the second home of a most generous couple and as a gift I was asked to make a thank you card for our hosts.
I made four!
I also created a stitched paper pod for holding lavender which now adorns the massive chimney breast.
I do hope our hosts like these gifts which use flowers from their amazing garden.
Robert Kaufman generously donated a charm pack for each member of participating chapters in the Modern Quilt Guild to use for a challenge project of our choosing.
The NOVA Modern Quilt Guild selected the Bright palate (http://www.robertkaufman.com/pre-cut/konareg_cotton_solids_bright_palette1/) to work with and each of us made one or more mini quilts (29"x29" to 45"x45"). The members were allowed to add fabric from their stash as long as the charms remained the stars of the show. The quilts will be donated to the INOVA Fairfax Children's Hospital NICU.

With a generous gift from Kathleen Dore (BBA 72, MBA 84), Keith Jepsen and Henry Tippie, we have created the Kathleen Dore-Henry B. Tippie Women’s MBA Leadership Program. This program takes a personal and transformational approach to women in the Tippie MBA program. In order to truly support the leadership development and transformation of female MBA students, it requires a longer-term, personalized program.
To this end, the Kathleen Dore-Henry B. Tippie Women’s MBA Leadership Program creates a sustainable and on-going series of initiatives to be woven directly into and throughout the two-year Full-time MBA Program.

A generous helping of images from Theresa and Glen's Ceremony on Saturday- I'm afraid again that I forgot to update my camera's time from Euro-Time so they are all set off by 6 hours (I think). These are all smaller to upload, but if T&G or friends want any, please let me know. Some colors in the night shots are too hot- they can be taken down a bit. No post processing has been done yet.
A big thank you to the participants and generous donors of the first ESCP Europe Fundraising Gala in London last week. An impressive £220,000 was raised which will contribute greatly to the ESCP Europe Scholarship Programme.
Over 100 guests gathered at the Four Seasons Park Lane for a wonderful evening sponsored by Ondra Partners and New End Associates. A cocktail reception was offered, serving champagne premier cru Frerejean Freres, and was followed by a gourmet autumn dinner.
The auction, led by Adrian Biddell, spurred great interest for the wonderful lots donated by Pierre Guénant (72), Olivia de Posson (06), Jean-Pierre Raffarin (72), Christian Marti (93), and W. Salamoon & Sons.
Around 15 alumni pledged their support to the ESCP Europe Scholarship Programme for the equivalent of eight years of study or a total amount of £120,000.
This unprecedented mobilisation demonstrates the unity and dynamism of the ESCP Europe alumni network. It also shows its commitment to support the School's growing momentum, forging a path to become the number one business school in Europe with a truly global reach.
On behalf of the scholarship students and all the ESCP Europe community, thank you!

Our generosity may not be recognized by anyone other than God. Yet when we give freely, we not only meet the needs of those around us but we also experience the joy God intends for us in providing for others. Help us, Lord, to have open eyes and open hands to supply the needs of those You place in our paths!...Read more at dailydevotionalz.wordpress.com/2019/05/30/here-for-you-de...

My mother's cousin used to do bookbinding a long time ago, because she doesn't anymore she wanted to give me her material and tools, so generous! And this is only the thread, yarn and tape department there is also a small but complete transportable binding station (very cool! pictures later) and a huge collection of gilding tools (yay!!), paring knives, paper knives not to mention heaps of paper, book cloth and even some leather
