Yesterday when I photographed this homeless bloke, he was ignored by many. Today it was like Christmas for him as several school children handed him items to help him.

We've been holding the Dead Poultry Society party on the Friday after Thanksgiving for nealry as many years as we've been married. Guests are asked to bring leftovers or wine to share and donations of non-perishable foods for the Capitol Area Food Bank. Here's what we collected this year.

Me handing over a dollar for a photo donation. This is like the cutest thing ever! This was at San Francisco, CA. (September 6, 2010)
“And whatever you spend in good, it will be repaid to you in full, and you shall not be wronged.” (Quran 2:272)
“A generous young man who is plunging in sins is favorable, in the sight of Allah, to a niggardly old man who plunges in worship.”
- Imam al-Baqir
It happened on my 49th Bday
In a far away place I knew kindness
From the kindest of strangers...
Not even speaking a word of English
On a very Dominican dark night
Elders living artifact on a high above mountain
In Palo Roto they opened their doors and hearts
Shared with us their meal and only source of light
It was perhaps my best birthday celebration ever

This was taken at Anderson Creative art gallery in Canton, Ohio. It was taken at a private art opening titled "Of Vice and Virtue: The Moral Universe of Marcy Axelband"
The painting is titled "Generosity" and is a painting by Marcy in which the audience was asked to participate in the completion of the painting.
Generosity is the word of the day. A portrait encounter. Can you read the text? It's important. Remember this: The circus loves you.

These wonderful pieces of street art are each an individual painting on a background of an old map. They were pasted to drain pipes in La Rochelle, Charente-Maritime, France. How generous of someone to paint and display these.
