Hiking in Boulder this morning, I had only brought along a camera for possible landscape shots at Royal Arch in Chautauqua Park. Fortunately I was close enough to get this shot with only a 24-70mm lens. It was extremely overcast anyhow.
According to www.adfg.alaska.gov/ Eagles weigh 8 to 12 pounds and can carry about three or four pounds. Well, this adult goose weighs 10-14 pounds! It carried it about 200 feet before dropping it near some cottonwood trees.
