DDC "Extra"
As if we needed any "extra" snow... But we don't get any say in the weather.. It's been snowing for the past 36 hours, and so Shyla was covered in fresh powder again this morning. The toy we played with was chosen for its long rope so I could find it if it got buried under the snow!
DDC "Au Naturel"
R needs no special effects because he's handsome all by himself, in my biased opinion.
365: The 2015 Edition (60/365)
DDC "A Day in the Life" - Our world has been taken over by snow so the best parts of Shyla's days are playing in the snow! And she loves it. I purposely made her eyes be in color because her eyes amaze me, even when she's playing wildly.

366: The 2016 Edition (194/366)
Little did we know how much the stress had affected Shyla until a couple of days later.
365: The 2015 edition (279/365)
Shyla's new tug toy was stuck in an aspen tree, and her eyes asked me to help her extricate it. I love the gold of her eyes with the gold of the aspen leaves.

DDC "Crush" - I am certain that Shyla had plans to crush that treat with her molars after she caught it!
DDC "Orderly"
I stacked two rings, and I asked Shyla to "bring" one. She managed to do it without even knocking the other off the rock! That's "orderly"!
366: The 2016 Edition (17/366)
Our snow is very sugary now so when Shyla accelerates, she kicks up a cloud of glittering crystals.

365: The 2015 Edition (160/365)
We've had so many thunderstorms that it's getting old. However, they do make for dramatic sunsets!
366: The 2016 Edition (130/366)
I love how Shyla's eyes stay focused on me almost no matter what when we're playing. This was on the morning of our travel day to Utah... a little weak as my 366 photo but it's all I've got!
365: The 2014 Edition (348/365)
DDC: "In the Neighborhood" - During our morning outing, Shyla found the remains of an elk that was killed by a mountain lion. She brought me the leg :)
Without all the water that we had in the form of snow and rain, the flowers would not be going wild now! This is Shyla's first springtime here, and it is exceptional!

A squirrel had just dumped the snow from a branch on Shyla's head, and she did not look amused!
I think this photo appealed to me so much because I am not feeling well - so I can relate to the expression on Shyla's face.
DDC "Wow"
When I opened this photo - my reaction was "wow". I don't get that many chances to get photos of our handsome black lab - and I love this one!
This shot was taken while hiking in a high alpine forest. It was a late spring day, and a change in weather was moving through the area. Fog moved in from below and settled in the forest and eventually topped all of the high ridges until only silence remained. Thanks for looking!

DDC "Well Worn" - This past weekend, I happened to find this toy, that was a favorite of my Lab (Acadia) who lived from 1991-2003. It's been in my closet since her death. I thought it would be fun to have Shyla play with her long-departed sister's favorite toy. So that's what we did this morning. It is a "well worn" toy!
