There was never a shortage of scenic views this day...blue sky...sun shining...was so nice out!!! Think I'm going with Sam over to his sisters Sunday so he can do some finishing touches to the countertops he installed. So I can probably get some nice Winter photos for you all! :) Will be back on tomorrow eve to catch up with everyone's photos!!! :)
This is my best example of framing. I like it because it captures the pagoda in the circle of the building. I used contrast to try and bring out the colour in the flowers in building in the back.
Defective framing delivered by an Anchorage general contractor [Erik Dawson, Dawson Development]. This framing was demolished following extensive documentation. These photos are made available for framers, contractors, and clients as an educational tool.

We found this farm down a side road after we left Lycan. Don't know any history on the place. The barn/shed looked like it was a victim of a tornado at one point.

As long as I was challenging everyone else, I thought I'd just do a card myself. Used the "Autumn Icons" in various colors, a little leaf punch and Nuvo copper drops.
Aluminum framing hammers are not new. Here is a general overview thus far.
A collaboration between Stiletto Tool company and Gary Pimentel in 2002 resulted in the very fine looking Stiletto AA14MC shown as image A. The head to handle interface was the downfall of this model, even though framers loved the hammer, failure of the hammer was unacceptable.
Mr Pimentel reworked how the hammer was assembled after leaving Stiletto, resulting in the PowerStrike hammer shown as image B.
And to round out the group is the recently released Estwing cast aluminum AL-PRO shown as image C.
Estwings approach certainly seems to be the most durable.

A close up of the 10-lever frame which came from Garston Freightliner Frame - see www.flickr.com/photos/ingythewingy/5677352138/
At the shed end of the line they originally had a 31-lever frame recovered from Battersea station. That is currently off-site awaiting transport to the new location.

This was my original choice for my daily shoot, which I usually use for project365, but I liked another photo for my project365 better.
+ The subject is portrayed interestingly within the frame, and it is a self portrait
- Should have been closer to the frame, so less of the area behind it would show.

I got a nice portrait of the dad of the cubs and tried to put a frame around it (made with the blending options of Photoshop).
I hope you like it, I think he's a very handsome young lion!
For Extreme Challenge Mania: framing. (I do not ordinarily take pictures of deer, but this one really wanted to be in ECM.)
I had a most enjoyable time this afternoon, rolling about my neighbour's field, taking photos of her beautiful horse Sly, and his friend Scruffy. This is Sly, framing himself with his legs.
I don't normally say it on Flickr, but this image really is better viewed large. There's some lovely detail, including his pretty eyelashes. I don't think Flickr displays portrait images very well.
Couldn't resist snapping this shot as I walked up the ramp to the Barbican highwalk this evening - this man was just so perfectly framed.
Had a good, busy, day at work, and got various things cleared - a bonus as I'd thought we would be doing more UAT today, but it's been delayed until tomorrow (at the earliest). Very handy.
