It was such a beautiful day! Blue sky, classic Dutch white sheep clouds and a wind mill. I made a bicycle tour through our polders. This is a picture of one of the polder Schermer remaining wind mills, called Bovenmolen G and part of the Dutch heritage. The mill was built in 1633. At present the miller and his family are living in the mill. Schermerhorn, 2018.

We capture memories for a nostalgic day and this is one of those days :)

This is a photo I took back in 2013 in London and have recently edited it. It is somewhere in between a street shot and a city/landscape shot but I quite liked the warm light framed by the bridge overhead. Back then I used a Olympus µ1060 witch has quite poor image quality, but as my first camera it was probably fine.

Walking through the forest I looked to the right and spotted this opening in the trees and bush towards an open area and the trees in the background. Looking through the view finder I was hoping that I would be able to use the surrounding branches and bush as a frame with the darker area in the front pointing towards the trees in the background and luckily it was possible!

Another scene from my neighbor's location. Such a lovely place with gorgeous views all around! May you all have a peaceful, and wonderful weekend!

This bull moose was hanging out in some relatively dense cover, making it a challenge to get a shot of him in the open. He was also intent on fattening up for the coming rut and winter, so his head was down devouring willows most of the time. Finally, he raised his head while framed in a narrow opening. Click!

Foggy sunrise at Corfe Castle, Dorset, England - and so the big reveal continues😀. As I was walking to see if I could get a slightly different angle with the foreground trees I spotted this composition with the framing element. Walked up and down a bit before settling on this spot!

Always pulled me from my seat

Could never cause me pain

Looking for those interesting compositions buried in the mundane

Halde Nordeutschland

The scree "Norddeutschland" (mining dump) based on the excavation material from the coal mines of Kamp-Lintfort and Neukirchen-Vluyn left side of the river Rhine. At the top of 102m (300 feet) by the so called hall house you have an amazing view eastwards to the lower Rhine region and the "Ruhrgebiet". There are also facilities for all kind of events.
