Happy accidents or mad skills? Whichever, I was super-proud of the finished product here. The lighting (hi-five, Olivia!) really makes it in this picture, I think. This photo is from a shoot we did in my basement armed with an old chair, a bench, a lamp and removable shade, a picture frame, some glass bottles, and of course the beautiful and stylish Sidney (although Olivia and I get credit for fashioning her scarf out of some lace my mom had laying around).

While shooting duck photos I noticed this acorn woodpecker., It was impossible to resist taking this shot when I saw the way the tree framed the bird! These are very gregarious birds and live in matriarchal families.

The morning light at the Taj Mahal was really spectacular, special to be there on a cold winter morning with so few people about.

AUSTRIA... one of the most beautiful countries - Burgenland
C'est formidable de pouvoir montrer ma belle patrie...
Forchtenstein Castle was built in the 13th century as a frontier castle high above the Rosalia hills, and served as a bulwark of the West during the Turkish wars. Owned by the Esterházy family since the early 17th century. Forchtenstein Castle has since then been a "vault" housing the family's major art collections.

Just playing around with this previously posted photo. I converted it to b&w using the selenium filter in Topaz BWE. Then, I found the free frame at My Frame City.
M6
I received 42 frames from my lab from my last roll with M6. The first frame on top left hand is considered unusable. Next was the one at the bottom left hand corner that I shot to kill off the counter. I think it looks good with some cropping on the right.
IMHO, 41 usable frames from a roll of 36 exposures film is a good return from my experience in shooting film. I think M6 has thin spacings between negatives and I managed my personal record of 41 frames from 36 exposures negative.

This is another view of the Rocky Mountains near Canmore, taken on December 17th when I took part in the Banff/Canmore Bird Count.
Interesting, the Date Taken up at the top right of this page is the wrong date - it should say December 17th (which it does, now that I've changed it). I never go into the Clock menu on my camera, so I wonder how that got changed by one day.
